If you run out of ammo, open inventory and switch to another weapon type. You still carry ammo for all types. If you don't know, you can hold the options or pause button to open directly to the inventory. Like so people can see.
A good tip for solo players farming the dark zone is to never call for an extraction. If you have items to extract go out of your way to find an extraction already taking place by another person or squad. Because the people calling in the helicopter want to extract their loot and not want to risk losing it in a rogue firefight, so they would be highly unlikely to kill you for your gear and let you extract with them. Also it is always best to do a "bag check" before extracting with a group of players. if they have no DZ loot bags then they are likely trying to bait players with extractions.
heard some rumors that some people cheat the game by getting/equiping high ends when below lvl 30 (not hacks but it makes the game bad) and then something about buying stuff from a lvl 30 darkzone vendor?
hey! the tip for using public chat saved our asses last night. i appreciated this tip. kept my team alive at the extraction. thanks, love your channel and vids have found them super helpful starting out!
Tip: When Rogue, use the pulse ability with the conseal mod. If you and 1 friendly alternate with this, you won't appear rogue on the minimap or through walls.
Spurs_ Cowboy cheers! im new to the game, like NEW NEW and i want to try the DZ, i know im a low lvl, i wont go 4 a while, but i need to know, if u lose ur loot, do u lose it permanently
Mr. Badger if you die in the dz most of your loot will drop publicly meaning other agents can take those items. But you can kill them and take your items back
Hey I'm also new I only played beta and forgot how dark zone work. When you said you lose your items do you mean the items I earn from play missions or you lose the loot you found in dark zone ?
Another thing that sucks is when you're in the dark zone minding your own business, killing NPC's, getting loot, etc. and a group of 3+ dudes want to start a fight because they see that you have a yellow hazmat bag on your back. Don't get me wrong, I'm no pushover. I can hold my own. But in those situations there's not much you can do but go down swinging lmao
I love when someone who really know the game and really really know what is he talking about do this kind of videos because is so helpful for the new player and the people who is trying to buy the game. Thanks it helped me a lot
I wanted to go and experience said "good drops" got some superiors and dark zone keys and got dropped by three guys with shotguns. I'm getting back on with my fellowship when I get home from work. What console are you on?
+mark garrison Same. Frankly I might just level up in the campaign for awhile before bother going back into the DZ, as trying to solo any of it early on is guaranteed to kill you quick thanks to not having weapons with good DPS and/or low health stats.
+Csilent yup was about to say just that, , I carry a fully modded, assault rifle, smg, lmg, shotgun and marksman rifle. Just go in your inventory and switch guns.

i just noticed the different primary thing last night, lol. I was carrying two assault rifles and i ran out of ammo, switched, and realized i had no ammo for the other one either. Makes perfect sense tho. Great vid!!

Great video, so thanks so much KackisHD . I do have a question from someone who's just started playing and LOVE the game. I have tried to buff toughness mainly, to the exclusion of all else, but I realize that there must me a better way to be more effective. Thanks again for the information! :)

You do know that going rogue is a part of the game, right? You're probs salty as fuck because you get killed by rogues all the time. I fucking hate shotgunners and people with stickybomb builds. I am a solo rogue player and when I go rogue, I don't shoot anyone in the back, I run in front of them and aim the gun at them and then shoot them. I also help random people extract loot. hey thanks heaps for this vid man! ive been watching heaps of your vids lately and found that their really helpful! With all the tips and just learning more about division. Although, would you be able to do a video about the gear and different stats and tips for that stuff? anyways, keep up the good work man.
now, these dam rogue players are so powerful and will kil you anyway because they've become so powerful that nothing is worth playing the game for anymore except for showing off their invincibility.
I just run an assault rifle and marksman with an SMG, LMG and shotgun in the backpack to switch out with if I need to. Explosive bullets and even a decent marksman eats enemies alive. I would also suggest using more 'survival friendly' skills and talents, like the healing ability and such, especially if you're solo by chance. The support station is great and you can mod it to have it slowly refill ammo while in the effect range, and this way you don't have to worry as much about running out of med kits either.
One thing about the ammo conundrum; you can get around that by using that one trait (can't remember the name) that refills 30 rounds for your primary weapon when you get a pistol kill, also extends the restock-to-restock time. Same goes for the ammo mod for the support station.
+aviatorEngineer I use the talent that makes it so when I get a kill with any skill I have a decent chance of fully refilling all my ammo (but not consumables or grenades). If I get low, I just find the weakest enemy and pop a sticky bomb on him/her. My sticky bomb has the More damage, blast radius and bleed mod so a kill is more likely to happen. Enemies dying from the bleed effect also count to the talent.
+BlackFlameGames It's decent. You can get those things up to 130k-150k if you try hard enough. I have 100k without the vector, lol. Still running Scar-L
so much yes on number 1 iv gotten into stand offs with players in the dark zone then someone from the other squad finally broke the silence saying they dpnt want any trouble and they ended up helping us with a few extractions
thx for the tips! the 3. tip is good but you could also have every weapon kind + ammo in your bagpack and just switch it if you run out of ammo! or the encounter needs a different weapon! and it refills the same way as you described! so i run around with a LMG, SMG, Assault Rifles, Shootgun and a Marksmanrifles in my bagpack and never run out of ammo, the only thing i'm running out of are medpacks, because i dont have a DZ team...
It was the opposite for me 😭 I was going solo and I found another solo agent. We extracted loot and then went down the street to kill some npc's. I went down and crawled over to him and he beat me 😱
+smiling budha'74 There was an update, but I got 137% scavenging and am about to reach rank 46 in DZ without getting any high end gear. So it's all RNG
+smiling budha'74 yea have around 150% and crap only 1 high end drop ever caducus 2nd time killing bullet king yes I farmed him twice got weapon got bored of the guy
A good sniper with the "One is None" talent and a good extended magazine doesn't even need to use their other primary weapon and grab ammo once or twice during a farming loop. It helps to stack extra ammo capacity on both the vest and backpack.
I tried to even out the firearms, stamina and electronics stats and it is actually working pretty well for me. I used the recalibration station to change the firearms, stamina and electronics stats. I hope this helps people
Such horse crap, I dont have any friends on XBOX and Really hate going to the dark zone just because everyone waits for extraction and soon as you go to extract they shoot you in the back, and take your stuff i havnt pulled anything good out of the dark zone, and is nearly impossible to get high end stuff just because assholes always just try and wreck you. Really wish they would make extractions in safe place.
lol great tips , oh man im always getting shot by accident or I shoot someone accidently ! good job I do have game chat on! its fun to go rogue sometimes to change it up a bit :) great video thanks!!
i like going rogue just for the fun of it and we have stolen high end weapons too. its really not that hard to survive. killing real people is my only incentive :)
I agree on the 2 primaries. With bonus ammo capacity, it's awesome. I have a few pieces of gear and mods that give me a whopping 90% ammo capacity. I'm rolling DZ with over 2300 bullets between by SMG and AR. It's great
Kackis, when you're using ADS you can press the left stick down to switch shoulders, would have helped you be less exposed in quite a few situations in this video. Not sure if you know about it or not.
Dude i would totally love to run with a group like yours man, So understanding about dark zones. So many times I've accidently threw a grenade/shot a friendly player and gone rogue and had the whole darkness zone chase me down.
Big tip about going rouge is go all the way to lvl 5 rouge status. If you do this you have a three minute timer but it doesn't reset and will count all the way down no matter how many ppl you kill.
For the ammo problem: there is a perk you can get via the security wing which will let you replenish 30 of your primary weapon ammo per kill with your pistol
I helped a Group and they dropped me some high end gear for thanks and even helped me to extract it through. because i was really helpful and showed my sorry on the ps4. the Chat to game is really important. I am really thankful to this Group they protected me from everything. I know the dirty sight of the dark zone but I thino it is like a mission for them they were really cooperative. IT is amazing in the dark zone even the kick of an pvp section u re every Single Moment on fire
you can have 5 gun changes. just switch guns when you run out of ammo like start off with AR and SMG then switch to sniper and lmg when either of them run out of ammo and shotgun when they run out again altho youll probably get ammo back for your starter weapons back by the time you run out of ammo on your last weapon
another great tip on having primary firearms is having 4 or 5 primary guns meaning youll have a pretty decent extra assualt rifle or marksman rifle or shotgun to switch to after you run out on smg and lmg ammo and that goes a long way even if you have a high ammo capacity
I gotta admit ... That Health Part is actually Right ... Kept me alive pretty longer when I focused more on that than My Dps .... was still cool with added MODS tho
thing is my main gripe is about your "use mainly sub, light, and assault rifles and try not to use shotguns and sniper rifles" the thing is shotguns and Snipers (for me at least) are my secondary primary weapons and i use mainly a shotgun sidearm (ballistic shield combo) with an assault rifle and a Sniper rifle so that my range is never out of question (shotgun short range, assault rifle mid range, and sniper rifle long range) that is just me but i find that diversifying myself in range is my best setup but hey "if" i run out of ammo for a weapon i just switch out. only reason is because i don't have good luck and i am used to balance and my weapons are good but relying on fast firing weapons and limiting yourself to only mid range is a bad thing especially if you need to provide support from range with a sniper if you need to stagger a boss with a shotgun you have that option but hell options and opinions are different with each person i just like balance and a varied setup has proved success with me but for each his own
+Da Demon Monkey SMGs are better at closer ranges, not quite as close as shotgun, but nevertheless, and ARs can supplement at a decently long range, not quite as far as a marksman rifle, but again, and the ammo for each outstrips the alternative.
Tip 5: I went into the DZ as a fresh 30 with 128% scavenging and found 9 High End pieces within 5 hours. Day 2 I went in with 157% and found 3 in 5 hours. Day 3 with 169% and found 2 in 5 hrs. Day 4 (weekend) after hitting lvl 50 and buying up all the Blueprints, 0 HE's in 9 hrs. The amount of HE gear you already have, seems to play a role. Tip 3: I carry one of each weapon type at all times, so I always have a backup if I run out of ammo. Tip 1: We avoided numerous accidental Rogue (on both sides) situations using game chat and the Surrender emote
as much as I like the dont go rogue it helps to work together part, we also have to remember the DZ was built on the nature of PvP gameplay. The beauty of ubisoft to introduce this mechanic is for the growing division community to really hash it out and debate whether its good to go rogue or not. Now I understand that there are people out there who know the high risk high rewards of going rogue, and those who understand the idea of if we work together we all win. Honestly, I feel that if we dont want one side to feel like its favored gameplay mechanic is being undercut, ubisoft should try to introduce temporary incentives on a timed basis such as bounties and challenges (and try to reward things like, phoenix credits or DZ currency)
great tips. I run a Caduceus as my primary and a High End Scar as my secondary. I use my Caduceus as last resort. Also keep a marksman rifle as my 3rd option. Damcus as my sidarm to get back 30 bullets to my primary
Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure the scavenging attribute only effects the loot you get from the scavenger loot crate in the Base of Operations.
Pro Tip: if you have a spare weapon in your bag you NEVER run out of ammo. Follow this: 1 - Run out of ammo on Weapon A, pull Weapon B out of your bag 2 - Run out of ammo on Weapon B, pull Weapon A back out... BAM Ammo! OK, your not necesarily full. You end up around 50%(ish), but the bottom line is you have ammo. So you running whatever weapon combo works for you, just have a spare in your bag.
When I play on the Xbox one, while I'm aiming you can press the left analog stick and switch to either left handed shooter or a right handed shooter. Maybe this will help some people when they are shooting around corners.
I personally love running a custom 870 as my 2nd gun in DZ. They're damage/bullet is huge and when paired with the other gun it can make ammo last. I def rotate Vector/Caduceus/Pakhan though. It's huge for making runs last long
if you want to go rogue, stay at an extraction point with 3 friends and keep extracting all gear collected. you can do it in two groups of two and each person can use the extract twice
This is good advice. I tried using my marksman but found I was running out of ammo all the time. Now I'm running the pakhan, and the vector high end. It gives me over 2,000 ammo. Yeah I never go rogue. You almost certainly die and lose a ton of xp and credits. Overall I like just going after bosses and helping people out with extractions etc.
It depends on your play style, but I wouldn't say armor is better than health. Health comes before armor. Then you can decide whether you want to run a build that has high firepower, high stamina or high electronics. Firepower increases your DPS, stamina health and electronics increase the effects of the different 'gadgets' and such. It's nice to have a good balance.
Pretty help full and i like your number one tip i was in a gun fight with a other players and we were finishing up killing some enemies and i accidentally shot one because he go in my line of sight. Im going to start using that tip didnt think about that. Thanks good video
Here's a tip about AMMO. If you want to have a marksman rifle and or shotgun use your smg or whatever else you want until you get low on that ammo type then switch guns to lmg or something and now you'll be full on ammo again. Switch back when you run low again.
Fact 3: I have a pretty good shotgun, but I also totally understand why you say this. Sometimes, I switch to my light machine gun (and yes, I wrote after watching the entire video).
one last, great tip would be. Level up and upgrade all the wings in your homebase in the game before you bother farming in the dark zone. there are many helpfull upgrades and bonuses that you can earn for simply having the right upgrades here and there.
5) 0:45 "Increase Savenging"
4) 2:30 "Don't only increase Firearms"
3) 4:22 "Use two primary weapons"

I just run an assault rifle and marksman with an SMG, LMG and shotgun in the backpack to switch out with if I need to. Explosive bullets and even a decent marksman eats enemies alive.
I would also suggest using more 'survival friendly' skills and talents, like the healing ability and such, especially if you're solo by chance. The support station is great and you can mod it to have it slowly refill ammo while in the effect range, and this way you don't have to worry as much about running out of med kits either.
just started playing , dont see any scavenging stats, did they remove this?
Still there
One thing about the ammo conundrum; you can get around that by using that one trait (can't remember the name) that refills 30 rounds for your primary weapon when you get a pistol kill, also extends the restock-to-restock time.
Personally i love marksman rifels there great for long rang rapid fire
As always, thanks for the tips!
before I watch the video, let me guess tip one is group up. because Rick has only said this in almost every video about the Division thus far.
+Andrew Giniewski WRONG! :P
+KackisHD whats the dps on your vector... i have a purple first wave vector with 95k dps
+devin josiah Is it bad I have a Yellow Vector with 104,217 DPS?
+BlackFlameGames It's decent. You can get those things up to 130k-150k if you try hard enough. I have 100k without the vector, lol. Still running Scar-L
+4Body2Soul I got a navy MP-7 rocking 172k damage
so much yes on number 1 iv gotten into stand offs with players in the dark zone then someone from the other squad finally broke the silence saying they dpnt want any trouble and they ended up helping us with a few extractions
Just let a friend that is level 30 and give you good loot after they raid a place
Panda is Dank and have to wait until you're level 30 to be able to use them
Good advice on the two primary weapons. You go through so much ammo in the DZ.
On ps4 u turn ur back for one second e.g. look at ur map you get shot at.
thx for the tips!
the 3. tip is good but you could also have every weapon kind + ammo in your bagpack and just switch it if you run out of ammo! or the encounter needs a different weapon! and it refills the same way as you described! so i run around with a LMG, SMG, Assault Rifles, Shootgun and a Marksmanrifles in my bagpack and never run out of ammo, the only thing i'm running out of are medpacks, because i dont have a DZ team...
top 5 tips for people that never played the game? -_-
I got revived by a random in dark zone when my friend was not able to help, really gave me hope not all agents are wankers!
It was the opposite for me 😭 I was going solo and I found another solo agent. We extracted loot and then went down the street to kill some npc's. I went down and crawled over to him and he beat me 😱
+SnufflyRaccoon i did the same thing except i let him bleed out
+raptor sparton I definitely would've preferred that
bullshit....i got scavenge 111% and still only crap drops.
They're fixing it in tonight's update
+Miloš Stankovic thats whats it foe? thats good
+xXKiNg98Xx it's also fixing the rouge system and getting rid of a farm exploit.
Great video! Thank you for the tips! I'm only level 22 at the moment, but creeping up on 30!
Here I am a level 26 newbie with 30Kdps and 30KHp and only 7Kskill
Wait, what's the Max level.
+Noobster Pro its actually higher than 50 in dz my buddy was 79 two days ago I don't know what he is now
dz rank cap is 99.
A good sniper with the "One is None" talent and a good extended magazine doesn't even need to use their other primary weapon and grab ammo once or twice during a farming loop. It helps to stack extra ammo capacity on both the vest and backpack.
I got the midas but then two off these fuckers killed me and then they were roque😭😭
Lol
I feel you broh!
+troy zeilstra LOL awhile ago me and a friend killed a guy with a midas, that u bro?
Then don't get killed 😂😂😂😂
+Michael Wozniak 😂😂
I tried to even out the firearms, stamina and electronics stats and it is actually working pretty well for me. I used the recalibration station to change the firearms, stamina and electronics stats. I hope this helps people
Top 1 tips for Dark Zone on PC! 1) Don't go to Dark Zone
What about sawed off shotguns for your sidearm? And two assault rifles
Edgy.
edgy 12 year old spotted
+iEatPussay_- Here in the the Jungles of TH-cam we have spotted the common edgy 12 year old.
Meh
witness an edgy 12 year old on its natural habitat doing its usual call.
I agree on the 2 primaries. With bonus ammo capacity, it's awesome. I have a few pieces of gear and mods that give me a whopping 90% ammo capacity. I'm rolling DZ with over 2300 bullets between by SMG and AR. It's great
Awesome vid!! Love your view on this!
Damn great video kackisHD you got a sub.😄
another great tip on having primary firearms is having 4 or 5 primary guns meaning youll have a pretty decent extra assualt rifle or marksman rifle or shotgun to switch to after you run out on smg and lmg ammo and that goes a long way even if you have a high ammo capacity
I gotta admit ... That Health Part is actually Right ... Kept me alive pretty longer when I focused more on that than My Dps .... was still cool with added MODS tho
This was a very help full tips and what is a god spin
thing is my main gripe is about your "use mainly sub, light, and assault rifles and try not to use shotguns and sniper rifles" the thing is shotguns and Snipers (for me at least) are my secondary primary weapons and i use mainly a shotgun sidearm (ballistic shield combo) with an assault rifle and a Sniper rifle so that my range is never out of question (shotgun short range, assault rifle mid range, and sniper rifle long range) that is just me but i find that diversifying myself in range is my best setup but hey "if" i run out of ammo for a weapon i just switch out. only reason is because i don't have good luck and i am used to balance and my weapons are good but relying on fast firing weapons and limiting yourself to only mid range is a bad thing especially if you need to provide support from range with a sniper if you need to stagger a boss with a shotgun you have that option but hell options and opinions are different with each person i just like balance and a varied setup has proved success with me but for each his own
+Da Demon Monkey SMGs are better at closer ranges, not quite as close as shotgun, but nevertheless, and ARs can supplement at a decently long range, not quite as far as a marksman rifle, but again, and the ammo for each outstrips the alternative.
Damcus as my sidarm to get back 30 bullets to my primary
where did it drop for you at?
I forget
I actually just got it last night and was curious on how good it was mainly because most of my other high ends do more damage
nice video and thank you for the knowledge its always handy to no these things.
Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure the scavenging attribute only effects the loot you get from the scavenger loot crate in the Base of Operations.
+Mr_13ig you're wrong
Keep doing these videos .. we enjoy it 👍
Pro Tip: if you have a spare weapon in your bag you NEVER run out of ammo. Follow this:
1 - Run out of ammo on Weapon A, pull Weapon B out of your bag
2 - Run out of ammo on Weapon B, pull Weapon A back out...
Nice vid,congrats,mate
This is good advice. I tried using my marksman but found I was running out of ammo all the time. Now I'm running the pakhan, and the vector high end. It gives me over 2,000 ammo. Yeah I never go rogue. You almost certainly die and lose a ton of xp and credits. Overall I like just going after bosses and helping people out with extractions etc.
Some good advice man, thanks.
Hey could you make a video on what armor you should look for and if armor is better than health? Still learning thanks
Tbh most people do it on purpose so they can kill you freely so you apologizing won't work
Here's a tip about AMMO. If you want to have a marksman rifle and or shotgun use your smg or whatever else you want until you get low on that ammo type then switch guns to lmg or something and now you'll be full on ammo again. Switch back when you run low again.
very helpful ty for your time and the tips
Fact 3: I have a pretty good shotgun, but I also totally understand why you say this. Sometimes, I switch to my light machine gun (and yes, I wrote after watching the entire video).
one last, great tip would be.
Level up and upgrade all the wings in your homebase in the game before you bother farming in the dark zone. there are many helpfull upgrades and bonuses that you can earn for simply having the right upgrades here and there.
this was very helpful. my friend and I always farm in the dark zone for hours thanks. 😉
