Hello, just wanna ask. We have the jimny for most probably more than a year now, do you hear any transmission noise when shifting from neutral to D? I mean just subtle noise. Because when i put it into drive from a standstill i hear the transmission engage.

Very interesting video! A lot of mechanical behaviors visualized right there! Thank you!
You manage 0 to 100km/h in about 12s. Other reviewers and sources mention figures in the 14-15s for the AT version.
    What could explain these disparities?

Is it just me or at 120km/h the consumption increases drastically?

One question. Is 4 gears sufficient instead of 5. Does the car asks for another gear after maximum speed at full throttle?

It would be better a 5 speed auto with tiptronic. A sequential gives more acceleration and performance.

@@alextint5987the 4 speed is for reliability. they are practically bulletproof

Why did the RPM drop at 90 Kmh in 1:35

      Because the AT has lock-up.

Yes I noticed that too.... seems like the auto needs a software update or something from Suzuki for it not to cause the engine to bog down like that

Yeah. It has a final drive ratio of 5.79 to be precise. Which makes the 4 gears pretty short. In most models they have 4.032 which is longer gears!
