Thanks for the note Mike! The decision is based purely on total consumption. Sometimes I film a few videos back to back and am just trying to not get tipsy. The second bottle of that wine that I have will NOT be spit out.
Very interested in collecting amazing Barolo, regardless of price( small and big). What are some others you would recommend? Maybe a video on your top ones?
It's an old style barolo, i think It gives it's best experience in 20 years or so, probably not even the best vintage, but usually it's very appreciated by the consumers. No doubt u Will like next High value more "modern" barolos
Thanks for the note Valerio. The wine was just dull and I doubt it would have improved much more with time, but who knows. Do you have any modern Barolos that you like that I should seek out?
@@DrinkinItIn i really liked Giacomo fenocchio as a producer, in the 60-120$ range u should find something interesting, but i'm more specialized on Tuscan wines than piedmont.
I finished a bottle of Barolo Monprivato 2013 a few hours ago and I can confirm its expressive limits both on the nose and on the palate, it is not worth the 200 euros paid a few years ago. It is not a wine from the legendary Bartolo Mascarello from Barolo but from the equally good Giuseppe Mascarello from Castiglione Falletto but this bottle disappointed me. Happy Dies Natali Sol Invictus to everyone. 🌞
I have tasted numerous bottles of Monprivato and I can't say that any were great. Like many Barolo producers they priced themselves out of the market.
To some extent I am OK with a high price, but it needs to deliver. The Monprivato wines have not.
Why would he spit that out?

@@ffcarter8 I have a couple of wine investing videos in the plan but will move the Barolo producer video up for you!
