Never got the surgery but had pain symptoms return on Halloween. Worthless for about a week after though and couldn't bend forward at all. Dear ALL IN ONE.... You need to see a NEUROLOGIST. A good one. Most likely he/she will order a lumbar MRI to start with. Possibly an NCV/EMG test as well. Then....you will need treatment....which will depend upon the exam and diagnostic findings.

I think doing a MRI of your lumbar should help in detecting if some vertebra is putting pressure on your nerves

There are most likely cases of ANY condition that are not reversible. But most cases of ED are treatable and do respond to treatment.
