- An expert testified how a person attempted to use Samantha Josephson's debit card hours after the killing. The University of South Carolina student was murdered in March of 2019.
Prosecutors have said they believe Nathaniel Rowland killed her. An expert testified to ATM video taken hours after her death that shows a man attempting to use her card multiple times.

Makes me a little happy to know she gave him the wrong PIN number. After his horrible deed was done and he harmed her in the worst way possible, he tried to use her debit card to take money out only to find out she gave him the incorrect PIN number, I’m sure he was furious. He couldn’t hurt her anymore though, he couldn’t take his anger out on her anymore. It was all over. Makes me a little happy to know he couldn’t harm her anymore either.
I fell the same way, to me in some way she won, even though she lost her life she still outsmarted him. So so sad about all this makes me have nightmares.

Agree in most cases people do stay quiet to avoid retaliation.
This case is a little different because Rowland wasn’t raised in the streets. He grew up in a 2 parent household in a decent neighborhood.
Rowland’s family lives across the street from the wildlife officer who was called to the scene where the remains of Samantha were found.
The officer testified he lives about a mile from where her body was found.
I don’t know how Samantha’s family was able to get through this trial without any attempt at trying to get to the defendant to strangle him to death with their bare hands. I don’t even have kids, but the thought of someone doing what he did to a loved one of mine infuriates me.
I don't know if they are religious, but if you pray for grace, God will help you. Some burdens are too big to carry without help.
I'd do life for his murder if that was my child. I'd get as close as I could day by day then pounce
I've been binge watching these videos and every time I see his face and hear about everything he's done to that poor girl; I get sick to my stomach and look at him with disgust.

A camera should be invented that recognizes that a persons face is covered up when they are using an ATM machine and it doesn't dispense the cash and swallows the card.

It is so hard to absorb info (plain digits even) when your brain has too much adrenaline... it is so common that criminals mess up pin codes, that most banks alert the cops automatically. I had to talk to cops after a loved one death, they asked me my birthday and I remember staring blankly... Too much pressure to remember small stuff. He killed her think he remembered her code, but likely forgot it.

IKR! I’ve listened to him question several witnesses and he has a way to make them feel comfortable. It’s stressful for most to testify especially in something like this.

As the defendant in this case, there is no way I would sit through that trial if I knew they had that kind of evidence on me. I’d have to admit my guilt and move on with it. The sheer pain everyone must have endured during that trial just adds insult to injury (or death in this case.)

Recently, there was the case of Tristyn Bailey, the 13 year old girl girl stabbed to death 114 times by a 14 year old boy, Aidan Fucci. His mother tried to wash his bloody jeans to hide that evidence and was arrested. These "mothers" are raising some evil beings and trying to protect them even after they kill. I just can't.
I don’t have any kids yet, but I wouldn’t have bothered showing up to the courthouse, but unfortunately there a lot of mothers who know their kids are trash and still try to protect them after they hurt people.

The legal system has a motion commonly filed known as a “motion for discovery” in which both sides, the State and the defense “shares” any and all evidence, be it mitigating or damaging. If he had a great attorney, I’m sure he would have known about this evidence beforehand. Discovery is usually filed so there really aren’t any “last-minute surprises” at trial. The defendant I’m sure did not see these ATM videos before trial but, he know he made an attempt to hide his face so, he knew the State couldn’t really PROVE it was him. As the guy on the stand stated after being cross examined- he could only assume the same person attempted those failed transactions, even tho a retarded person could tell that was the same person.
That man has killed before. That not his first murder. People don't go around killing just one time like that. That was a vicious senseless attack with that mind frame I know he had other victims.

@@darincampbell467 and I've watched another video from a tv channel where forensics found Samantha's DNA under his fingernails, I think he must've taken gloves off to pull her out of his car, he prob couldnt grab her body properly with gloves on, hence DNA under his fingernails, also the 5 point location of her ph and his ph being at same place proved by the ATM cameras where they got video of him trying to withdraw money from her keycard. @@elizabethshepard3090 - First of all, I get ALL my information from COURT TV. It has been reported on there that the DNA under her fingernails, Mr. Rowland was NOT a contributor. Personally, I believe that the way that he is dressed at the ATM ( I believe that it is him) is what he was wearing when he killed her. That is why he left NO DNA. If you look at the ATM video, he is covered up quite well! If she struggled and fought, she would have been scratching against clothing, not flesh. This would explain a lot! Bottom line for me is that this guy did this murder. He could have acted with other people, but I highly doubt that. Even if he did, he will take the fall for it, which is so stupid. I would be singing like a canary. This is kind of a fascinating case. My opinion is that he will be found guilty and gone for LIFE. I feel for her family. She didn’t deserve this! Peace.
