    i just spent 30 mins on the first 2 minutes alone trying to mimic those movements. I believe many hours will follow. No need for hour long videos, this is raw value.

    Getting out of a standard, socially acceptable workout is often helpful. Movements like this are almost never done in a gym. Since working out at home, out of doors, I have incorporated non-standard movements and 'equipment' into my exercise time. Oddly, I have become stronger and fitter quicker and without injury.
    I'm 56, have always been in shape aesthetically...movement type exercises have increased strength and balance and enhanced my physical symmetry in a natural way, with natural bulk and leanness.

    • @JB4375
      @JB4375 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm 58. Got back in the gym a couple years ago. Lost 30 pounds and I'm gradually losing the last 20 with a goal weight of 185. Strength has gone up considerably, BUT I'm tired of being tight and sore, and continually stretching to work it back out. Started training at home home the past month and a half with dynamic stretching, body weight excercises etc. I can't believe how much looser and more flexible I feel. I'm truly hooked.

    • @mfawls9624
      @mfawls9624 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JB4375 Hey...I'm 58 now (for the last 12 days) and still at it. If you haven't got them get some good resistance bands. Lots of good videos on them. Take a little getting used to and experimenting but they are easy on the joints and allow unlimited angles at resistance.

      @@JB4375 I screwed some eye hooks into trees in our yard so I can run them through at different heights.
      I use zinc plated safety spring snap links, attached to the eye hook and clipped onto the resistance band. Make sure that you use ones that can handle adequate weight for the force you're using.

    O trabalho do Ido Portal tem paralelo no do George Herbert, que criou a ginástica espontânea, referência primeira para o Parkour. O interessante no trabalho do Ido é que as posturas surgem do próprio movimento. Não há repetições; o corpo se move, se locomove, se alonga e parece se amoldar ao entorno. É uma dinâmica de água, que flui para a condição mais adequada de acordo com sei estado.

      Congrats bro. You're such a scientist. Tell me more about the degrees you've earned, mentors you've studied under and articles you've published.

    • @Lucas-fr3bf

      Not to mention in your own comment, you said "academic research." This isn't classified as academic. Stay in high school boy

    • @RadBurmeister
      @RadBurmeister 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +Didntwanttomakeauser did he mention wanting to publish in a journal? Did he mention anything about data? Did he mention a hypothesis?
      I've been in into exercise for a long time and I've seen so many well 'educated' people throw around terminology like you are here. I've also got a few friends with PHd's, over 20 years experience in the health and fitness industry and who read on average about 20 peer reviewed journals a week and who have un paralleled knowledge.
      Me, I read what I can, I apply what I can and I research as much of what I can accomplish with my body as I can.
      I've trained with people like Ian King and Ido Portal and in all my time I've seen two kinds of people in the fitness industry. Those who know it all and those who can actually do it. Which one are you mate? Can you do anything with your body beyond an awesome squat? Ever tried pushing the boundaries beyond writing different programs for yourself utilising knowledge gained from reading all your journals?
      What I think he means by 'research' is that he's researching what is possible with his body in relation to locomotion.
      I noticed this video was published 5 years ago. I was fortunate enough to train with Ido last year and I can tell you that his research has come a long way since this video. I was more impressed with his teachings than anyone I've learnt from before.
      You really do sound like a know it all idiot with your comments mate.
