9422 made in USA from 1972 to 2005, Forged Steel Receiver, Quality steel components, Proper High Gloss Bluing on metal components, Quality wood High Gloss finish some Rifles have checkering plus they were made in .22 S/L/R and .22 Magnum
You would think that with investment casting technology that a steel receiver could be made at the same price entry-particularly as it comes out of Turkey! Not for me with aluminum!
Why didn’t they blue the barrel? It looks so cheap. Henry does it. Every video including this one, you can see the finish scratching off already on a brand new gun.
G&A is nothing but one big advertisement. They never mention that this rifle is imported from Turkey. F Winchester. Under $400? Should be under $200. I’ll stick with Henry
The reciever is made is made of Billet alluminum with steel internals. There is no zinc based "pot metal" (or plastic) on this rifle. The stock is walnut.
I have a Winchester Model 9422 I purchased in late 1972. FIRST year of manufacture. Made in USA. It is a great lever action 22. Collector item. I have not seen or held this Turkey model. But I am going to state here, I would rather have my rifle than 100 of these aluminum Turkey guns.
Matte finish already wearing off. For a few dollars mores polished blue barrel and a case colored receiver. This looks like a partially finished tool room firearm
Its mid August and still not in stores ....
I see you using canva template for that thumbnail ;)
They make it easy! 🤷♂
@@GunsAndAmmoMag absolutely!!!
To bad it's not Miroku
Love old school winchester quality. Sadly this is not! I'll pass. Did he really say heirloom quality?
What's the difference between the 9422 and the Ranger?

Think they made the receiver out of aluminum to cut weight, making it lighter for the youngsters
As long as it runs better than the Henry rimfires I’m all in.
Henry lever action 22s have reliability issues?
@@kordi7888 mine did .
Winchester has come out with a new model .22 Lr rifle because of of the popularity of the Henry .22 rifles.
did he say Heirloom quality. Buy a 9422 second hand that's a quality rifle

I'll use it as a knock-a-round gun and camo paint it. That's not a classic for sure!
Winchester is actually putting its name on this? Why do I feel like my 9422 and 9422m have suddenly been tarnished?

Thanks for the feedback. Is there anything you would like to see more/less of from G&A?
Pot-metal & recycled motel furniture . 😂 No Thanks !
