I lived on a farm when I was a kid. Daddy saw that one of our hens had been hiding to lay and hatch her eggs. They hadn't hatched out and one had broken, and they smelled AWFUL. Daddy told me to get rid of them. I guess that he expected me to take them to the back of the pasture and dump them out. Daddy went back into the house. A friend was with me that day and we decided to get rid of them. We threw them against the side of the building where daddy cured his hams. Daddy came back outside and saw what we had done. He wasn't very happy. My friend was VERY SICK. Daddy sent him home. And I had to clean all of the rotten eggs off all by myself. I never did that again. That lesson was learned very quickly. I'm 74 now and I can still remember what those eggs smelled like.
Percy and Pearl were really having a blast running around 🥰! They didn’t seem to mind being put in their old pen to eat weeds and grass 😊! They really wanted to visit the other pigs too! The new shirts and hats look really nice 👍🏻! Thank you both for sharing, take care and God Bless🙏🏻🤗💕!
That color is what is often referred to as "heather." I love colors done like that. I loved it when you named the rooster Sue. My mom's name was Sue and she decorated her kitchen with roosters. My mother would have loved that y'all named your rooster Sue. Brandi you had me rolling. 🤣🤣🤣

You can check for how good the eggs are by floating them in water. Cool water deep enough to cover. If they stay on the bottom they are fine, even if they sit up right, or waddle but if they bob or float they are not good.
I sympathize with you regarding the smell from the rotten eggs and deceased embryo. Here's an old trick from my Coroner's Office removal service days, use a Q-tip to put a little Vick's Vapo Rub each nostril. It helps, believe it or not. I taught more than one cop that old trick!

Take a crayon marker or a pencil etc snd mark the eggs you have for the hens to hatch like with pencil scribble all over it with crayon put a few x’s on it or with a marker just a big x then raise the hen up every day even if a hen has laid with them the egg will be good the marks tells you to leave them alone take for use the eggs that don’t have a mark. I used to work in a chicken hatchery and when we took the chickens out of the incubators some of the eggs would not be hatched, and I had a egg to blow up and run down my back I happen to have my working jacket on boy water smell.The incubators had something over 1000 eggs in them

Tonight I was putting 3-4 week old eggs into the freezer for baking. I cracked one that was rotten & I thought of yesterday’s Dutch Eats. I was running to the trash barfing & trying not to laugh at how funny it was for you & Brandi. Once I got it cleaned up I gave my egg helpers a good talking to for not rotating eggs like I tell them to!!! I was happy with 6 hens but nooooo they needed more. First a mean old rooster & then 6 more hens. They even let a mama go broody (against my better judgement ) & hatch out 5 babies, 3 pullets & 2 cockerels 🙈. And we have 7 chicks in the incubator for the grandkids school project. But guess who raises the babies??? Oh and my sweet friend gave me the cutest polish & frizzle pair of hens. I think I may find a tiny frizzle roo to keep these little bantam cuties going. Hmmm maybe this chicken math is my fault.

What fun, rotten eggs!! At least it didn't break in the nesting box and then you have to clean it. In 100 degree weather I check for eggs several times a day so they don't go bad. If they are out in the heat too long the whites and yolks get runny.

Get you a small horse halter to make the pigs a walking harness. We use to do it with our show pigs.
