If you are leaving your freezer on while you are away, freeze a small cup/tub of water and place a penny on top of the frozen water, if your electric goes off and freezer defrosts you'll know because the penny will be at the bottom of the cup not on the top x
As someone who can’t eat cream without being violently ill I’ll often use a splash of milk when wanting to make a creamy soup. It works just as well as dairy cream if ever you find yourself without. Choi sum is really tasty, and a good source of iron and calcium
im lactose free and dairy free besides wheat it happend a few years ago from out of the blue one day i found i could not eat these things no one knows why so i have found a nice chocolate pud which is lactouse free and with good protien from lidl
The little tins of coconut milk are handy, I like to keep them in my pantry. I buy the soft top socks too, usually off EBay. If you’re running your freezer stock down, put crumpled up newspaper in the gaps to make it run more efficiently while you’re away. The plant 🌱 based Emlea cream is actually very nice. I bought the brandy 🥃 flavoured one for my mince pies 🥧 at Christmas. I love yellow stickers.😊 I’m going to look for that gluten free pasta in Tesco, I’d never noticed that it was gluten free. Thanks Imo! Shops have gluten free sections where the prices are extortionate. But I do find gems like the pasta you pointed out. The quorn mince is gluten free. Not all the quorn products are gluten free. The nicest gluten free biscuits are Nairn’s. The shops own brands aren’t my favourite. The Bliss bars are lovely, I get those in Home Bargains. I make my own peanut butter cookies 🍪, gluten free. They work out very economical compared to shop bought gluten free biscuits. Really easy to make too. Lots of recipes online for them. Some tubes of Primula cheese are gluten free. You can find them in Home Bargains. I buy it for my husband for him to have with the little round gluten free crackers. They have chilli flavour, salt and vinegar and I think a chive one. Really handy for travelling. x
I need you to do my shopping, you do so good with prices. Funny you mentioned you didn't like Elmlea, my mum said the same over xmas when thats all they had in Asda. x
Hi Imo, great shopping vlog as always! Just wanted to share a little info I found out recently, some household products have written on the back of the packaging’ toxic to aquatic life’. I found it really saddening to see that the big brands such as fairy are polluting our waterways with their products without us even knowing 😢 I’ve since switched to using Smol laundry caps - they are a good price and work really well, and claim they aren’t harmful to the environment. Hope I don’t come across as preachy or anything, just thought you and your viewers may like to know 😊x
Its really annoying all the veggie things that i have liked over the last donkeys years (veggie since about 1987) have gone. Tesco did some great veggie bacon, hotdogs (which were like the Tavili ones), vegetable pasties etc. I cant eat Quorn as it is made from fungal spores and i am allergic to anything fungus based including your favourite mushrooms lol.
Traditional chewing gum does indeed contain plastic, usually called something like gum base. It’s the thing that makes it chewy. Not thought to be harmful to people, but pretty 🤢 if you actually think about it

1:20 I find any oat milk works in coffee. I've never had any issues of splitting. It's soya or almond where you need barista ones for hot drinks

Yes there is plastic in the actual chewing gum polyvinyl acetate (plastic)
😮
You are right the Crème eggs were bigger and they used to be in pack of 6 !
I woke up early and after watching you shop I got hungry and ate an early breakfast. it's good you have so many stores to shop in and find bargains.
Free from pasta is the best pasta...so lovely. X
Thank you Imo that was a nice varied shop .xxx
Love your vlogs I always put red lentils in my soup. My soup maker has made it out of the cupboard thanks to you.
Love the stores so clean and organize. I live in NYC.
love comparing prices on your shops imo some good bargains to be had donny xx
14:07 it probably means the actual gum because regular gum is made from plastic and rubber
Great shop immo you get some bargains.
Lurpak is on offer in Sainsburys (one of my nectar offers) for £2.65 next week

Have you tried Plenish oat milk? It’s very good-organic and no nasties like guar gum and seed oils. Bit pricey but I buy it when it’s on offer.
Thanks, I’ll keep an eye out for it. :)

It's good to buy single bananas. They throw them away otherwise.
Oh! Thanks.
