- I don't need to do my weekly food shop quite yet but I've been fancying a bit of retail therapy for a while and today's the day. I head into Cardiff to IKEA, B&M Bargains and Home Bargains to buy some bits and bobs :) Including a new shopping trolley!

Great vlog Imo, glad you found your trolley! If you need to open a jar this has been my way for decades (I'm 55, tip from my grandmother). Get a round ended knife, put it under the rim of the jar, twist the knife and the jar will pop. No need to spike the lid or faff with rubber gloves etc.. believe me it never fails! It used to drive me nuts when my husband would spike the jar tops and the contents would go mouldy. I bet you can't wait to see Izzy! Have a lovely weekend 😺🍅xx

The number of those IKEA glass food storage boxes that I have is ridiculous 😂 But they are marvellous. So much better than any plastic Tupperware I’ve ever had
to open jars tap it on a work top round the rim and it will do

I blooming love Ikea, haven’t been in a while , I think I deserve a trip when we get a house to buy new things for it hehe I need a trolly too I know the feeling lugging bags back when you don’t drive, it’s awful.

I’m a huge fan of a trolley I have 2 !! I live 25 miles from town and only a mile from the nearest road .. so I wave my bus down and do my monthly shopping .. mine do have a good waterproof cover ..

I’m so glad you got a new trolley Imo. I get serious Ikea envy seeing people shopping there. I only go there a couple of times a year. It’s deadly because I always impulse purchase stuff.😂 I have one of the box graters. It’s one of the older ones. Really handy. Yes, it’s the same ketchup and mustard that you use in the cafe there that you can buy in the store.
Re nail clippers: I’ve never bothered trying to sharpen them. I just replace them. I try to sharpen knives and scissors. I have a sharpener on the back of my electric can opener. Talking of openers, I have a small plastic thing called a Jarkey (jar key) to open jars. 🫙 It’s really handy, had it many years. You can make jars easier to open too by running the jar under the hot water tap.🚰 That helps to loosen the lid.
Great that you got all those tins of Mock turtle. A successful shopping trip. 😊 I did enjoy watching this. I’m going to irritate my husband now by asking him to take me to IKEA. 😂 xx
