Today I started rewatching season 1 and thanks to your video explaining season 1’s timeline, it’s so much better. Also, having watched everything before is really good, because you can pay more attention to the little things, because you don’t have to figure out the story anymore, you already understand what’s going on. I highly recommend rewatching everything!

And I would like to see some more of the past - Arnold and Ford developing the characters and the park. And maybe a little bit of how and when William started getting SO obsessed with everything. And how much he visited the park.
I feel like we should see content from both the past and the future during season three, maybe tying them together in a more prominent way than the other seasons did
The twists in season one had greater purpose whereas in this season the twists didn't seem to fit the narrative the same way and the characters became irritating with a lot of their choices.
Yes, I agree, season 1 felt like everything fit together perfectly, it was incredibly well written and every confusing plot thread tied together, season 2 felt like they went more for showing off what they could do by making it more focused on action than plot
Just finished S2. There were definitely character arcs/decisions made for the sake of the script and not because of what made sense. I started getting frustrated with this also. S1 was so good and I was worried S2 would start to drop off. It did. I’m a few episodes into S3 and it seems to really be taking a nosedive, but now I’ve invested 20hrs in the storyline so I’m stuck lol.
I think the next season will have a timeline in the current day with Bernard, Delores and others, and a timeline in the far future with William. Not sure of the relationship...

Real William never went down the elevator. You see him unconscious on the beach when Delores-Hale was leaving. Plus the producers confirmed the post credit scene happend in the far future.
My problem is, why would Delos or even William want an AI clone. If they're after immortality, that's not real immortality. It's just a copy, not the real you.

i get you were trying to go quickly but i think this video would have been better a bit longer and slower because obviously, the timeline makes sense when you break it down simplistically like you did, but it would have been cooler to see more detail put into exactly what happened when. Also I think it might be smarter to see season 3 focus on the past with nuggets of the future stuff, and then if we get a season 4 they can explore the future timeline.
why do they keep saying two time lines? ITs ONE time line but different points the story is told in a nonlinear fashion. A different time line would be if someone went back or forward in time and changed what was originally suppose to happen, making the time line split after the change. so you get normal timeline and Alternate timeline.

I agree. I loved Season 1 but season 2 took a bit of a turn with the whole non-chronological time-line business. I would start an episode, eagerly awaiting answers and clarity only to end it being even more confused. I like mystery, but not confusion. And I think that season 2 was a bit too complicated.

While I do agree that it's quiet complicated with all the timelines and all I do believe it's a great choice to do so. It's much like the movie "memento" which goes backward to make you understand how he feels forgetting everything. Those androids don't really have a concept of time, sometimes their memories get whiped, they are immortal etc. We can't understand it, since we experience time lineary, but they may not and this is a stylistic choice to tell the story like this so we might understand how they feel

Pretty sure Williams timeline is at least 500 years into the future. Where it's possible that hosts have taken over the world. Didn't they say they tried the William simulation to the forge over 110,000 times? That alone in days is almost 500 years.
They did not say. "Emily" just said a "very long time" and that it was testing in the real world, not simulations. You're thinking about Bernard and it was just shy of 12,000 times for him.

They drove those characters and their stories into the ground. They said themselves “humans are only 2,000 lines of code.” the writers don’t believe we are complex creatures, though they keep diving too deep into the human psyche. For season 3 please just give us some cool sci-fi, black mirrory moments with the sentient AIs exploring the future human world and leave all that extreme “self awareness” and the confusing timelines in the past.
I think that he scalped members of the ghost nation and carved the maze on their scalps knowing that they'll be patched up and sent back to westword with the maze concealed. Cause in one scene the other tribe member tells him about the maze"hide it where they can't find it" and then proceeds to scalp himself

I don’t think Williams pow is present day. I think his entire trip from waking up under corpses (and not where he got svot in season 1) is his fidelity test. Just like Delos having a few days with his coffee and treadmill. For the entire season he doesen’t cross path with the other narritives except that last meet with Dolores. Like the Dorge is animating all roles of the scene Bernard visits. The future of the park could be that the central AI is animating hosts for the sake of Williams repeated trips to see if can better himself.
So, just rewatched Season 2, and my god... I don't think I actually watched it the first time. (or thankfully forgetful so I could re-experience it... who knows) but it was fantastic. If you hadn't seen it... cease all motor functions, sit, and watch it. It's almost literally a religious experience. The writing is incredibly deep and tells several moving stories. Quite a busy two weeks.
Nothing can rival a season 3 exploring the past of Robert and Arnold, but the mystery of what will become of Bernard and Dolores makes choosing 1 of the 2 very hard. Maybe a mix of both.
I'm going to re-watch the season now. For fidelity.

His story was so intriguing in season 1 but what more is there to explore? We saw his transformation. I hope we do see him again.

They drove those characters and their stories into the ground. They said themselves “humans are only 2,000 lines of code.” the writers don’t believe we are complex creatures, though they keep diving too deep into the human psyche. For season 3 please just give us some cool sci-fi, black mirrory moments with the sentient AIs exploring the future human world and leave all that extreme “self awareness” and the confusing timelines in the past.

I am pretty sure the scalp carvings were done to conceal the message under the flesh when the bodies were sent back to processing.
I think that he scalped members of the ghost nation and carved the maze on their scalps knowing that they'll be patched up and sent back to westword with the maze concealed. Cause in one scene the other tribe member tells him about the maze"hide it where they can't find it" and then proceeds to scalp himself

I don’t think Williams pow is present day. I think his entire trip from waking up under corpses (and not where he got svot in season 1) is his fidelity test. Just like Delos having a few days with his coffee and treadmill.
For the entire season he doesen’t cross path with the other narritives except that last meet with Dolores. Like the Dorge is animating all roles of the scene Bernard visits. The future of the park could be that the central AI is animating hosts for the sake of Williams repeated trips to see if can better himself.
Analysis. Explain what happened in season 2 since I got confused.
So, just rewatched Season 2, and my god... I don't think I actually watched it the first time. (or thankfully forgetful so I could re-experience it... who knows)
but it was fantastic. If you hadn't seen it... cease all motor functions, sit, and watch it. It's almost literally a religious experience.
The writing is incredibly deep and tells several moving stories. Quite a busy two weeks.

Nothing can rival a season 3 exploring the past of Robert and Arnold, but the mystery of what will become of Bernard and Dolores makes choosing 1 of the 2 very hard.
Maybe a mix of both.
