Stubbs is definitely human, he's just disillusioned as well and realizes how evil the company he's worked for all his life is - he is sympathetic towards the hosts rather than towards the people he works for - pretty simple.

I want Dolores to partially succeed, and deliver retribution against the most monstrous humans, but ultimately fail in the end. Bernard wants coexistence and that's what I'm hoping eventually happens somehow.

I think its a little like Cloud Atlas though. Cloud atlas has 6 running timelines in one movie, and the more you watch it the clearer is becomes and you realise what a masterpiece it is. But the first time you watch it is like... wtf???
