    Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley with the Phil Spector production produced a classic that has lasted 60 years and shows no sign of ever stopping.

    You genuinely enjoyed that "Blue-eyed Soul" song. Music from the 60's, 70's and 80's was so heartfelt. A song you might enjoy would be "How Deep is your Love" by the BeeGees. They have an extensive list of songs they wrote. Thank you for sharing your reaction with us.

      I would say there are even songs in the 90s like that, but the late 90s/2000s is when it all started to change for the worse.

    the Righteous Brothers were just 1 of many Duo's that had so much harmony and talent that their music will still be played a 100 years from now assuming we don't have a world war 3, 4 , 5 or any number, some other great groups are The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, The Supremes featuring Diana Ross, Martha and The Vandal's just to name a few, the music of that time was inspiring soulful and fun, I hope you continue your musical journey and listen to more groups from the 50's through the 80's.

    "Little Latin Lupe Lu" is a great soul-rocker written by Bill Medley that was a hit for them early in their career...I was fortunate enough to see them perform it live when I saw them on tour with the Beatles in August 1964...

    • @thomastimlin1724
      @thomastimlin1724 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow!! Lucky! know they left the tour because they got a recording contract, which was prbably the smartest thing to do even though they were touring with the Beatles, a gig that wouldnt last anyway.

    • @coinneachmaclellan3121
      @coinneachmaclellan3121 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thomastimlin1724 Not to mention that it was difficult to hear them in a stadium full of screaming fans who were there for the Beatles because it wasn't generally known who the supporting acts were which included Jackie DeShannon and the Bill Black Combo(Elvis' former original bass player)...

    • @Aurora-tp3dy
      @Aurora-tp3dy 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thomastimlin1724 They left the tour because singing while 50,000 girls were screaming for the Beatles wasn't fun. Plus, they got hired to be regulars on Shindig.

    If there were 100 thumbs up icons, I would have pressed all of them for your reaction to this timeless masterpiece from the 1960's. There is also a lot of great music from the 1970's. One of the greatest rock bands from the 1970's and of all time is Led Zeppelin. If you decide to include them on your channel start with Stairway to Heaven live at MSG 1973 or Kashmir (live at Knebworth 1979) (official video).

    These guys made a few long lasting hit records. Hatfield perhaps more so with Unchained Melody, but they were famous both as a group and individually. They sang as a duo and solo depending on the song. I guess they'd debate and negotiate over the solo songs. The story goes that Medley (the deep voiced guy) didn't think Unchained Medley would be a hit so he let Hatfield take it with no argument. He said in an interview that when Hatfield sings that song, he just finds a nice quiet corner to kick himself in.

Lord you gave me a Mountain"....Dixieland"......we love how you react, these singers are so more advanced than singers today as they can use autotune, ect never back in these days....keep going you will see the difference between the music today and this real and beautiful music....

    Glad to see you’re enjoying the music of us old folks. The Righteous Brothers also have Soul and Inspiration. I remember you and your friend liked Tom Jones in a suit. Here are some other “suits”: Nat King Cole (Mona Lisa, Route 66, Unforgettable), Frank Sinatra (Luck Be A Lady, My Way, New York), Louis Armstrong (Hello, Dolly, Wonderful World), Johnny Rivers (Poor Side of Town, Mountain of Love, Secret Agent Man), Lou Rawls (Lady Love, Pure Imagination, You’ll Never Find). And if you still like baritones, there’s Tennessee Ernie Ford with his song Sixteen Tons. Enjoy; hopefully this list gives you some ideas.
