Any dough (for sweet baking) is always better than the baked result for me 😂 Ever since I was a kid 😊 when there was yeast in the dough I would feel the consequences later but it never stopped me 😂

I sometimes think about that when Samantha and Benjamin are much, much older and can look back at all the videos of their loving mother Laura. I wish I had old movies of my mom & dad. Or when the kids are older and Laura can look back on her two beautiful babes. Even hearing their wee little voices can bring you to your knees once they’ve reached and certain age and their lives take over. They are very precious indeed. 😊♥️

My grandkids, when they were little, would pull up the chair backwards to "help" in the kitchen! Love it.... also the cookie dough... it's ALWAYS better before it's cooked! Love it as well :) Great memories are made!

May I share the most overlooked of the Ten Commandments is the fourth KJV. All the current world events are a spiritual battle over worship. Specifically the day of rest. Sabbath vs sun day becomes our last test. Researching sun day observance tradition is eye opening. Btw Constantine was a sun worshipper.
This is how I grew up! Family getting together to work on projects! I love it! There are no memories better than that. I have a home movie from 196? Of my Grandma digging Iris at my family home. She's still wearing her Church dress AND heels! ❤

When Benjamin answered you, upon your query as to whether he was indeed going to be climbing on the rock wall, or doing something else ( -- your Mom had shared w a smile that Benjamin and she had decided, tentatively, that instead of going outside with the bulb-planting party they were going to stay in the house and do other things.)
As you reminded him of his previous tentative plans to climb all over the rock wall thingy, and asked, "What about your plan to do that?"
...In a perfect rendering of his father's manner of expressing an answer to that inquiry, he said, "Well, I will be...".
In that answer right there, he sounded, he inflected, EXACTLY, exactly mind you! like Aaron would have sounded. It was SO cute!!! It was, exactly! mini-Aaron. Priceless.
It blows my mind when kids do that. What's lesser known, and fascinating: My youngest two sons were NEVER around their father after our divorce at their very early ages
(the youngest was only 10 months old when we split up.)
Yet, there were countless times when they would make some remark, display a particular mannerism, exercise an inflection, exude a specific, recognizable facial expression, carry themselves EXACTLY as if they WERE their father himself, in that moment or two, when their father's very soul seemed to have slipped into the glove -- that is the physical container for their soul.
So, according to my own experiences, it's not learned nuances of features, or personality, after all, that our children are showing us.
Astoundingly, it seems to be fully inherited behavior. It's fascinating that things such as the inflection of one's voice, the tone of one's voice in the particular moment of a particular expression of thought or feeling, should be so firmly connected to our genes.
I enjoyed watching Benjamin planting. He's growing so fast. Such a sweet boy. Can't wait to see the flowers!
