Dear God, have you been following me around for the last 50 years? I recognize every idiosyncrasy, tick, phobia, and compulsive habit involving watches. Thanks, I don't feel so alone now, off to turn my bezel and wipe the prints from my crystal.
Well done, sir! I can relate to many of these. In my case I'm a physician and always wear a watch to the office... I also ALWAYS pull up a glove all the way up over the watch. And, I feel I can say this here, have an eyeglass cloth in my pocket to wipe off the crystal between rooms... And at least 50 other times during the day... And well, you get the idea I'm sure. This just adds one more tiny ritual to my surgeon's OCD. Have a great Sunday!

Best Clip in a while! I would add the sickness of those buying a watch on the bracelet. Then swap it for a strap: all in the name of “in case I ever sell it,” BUT, if/when you do, the bracelet looks brand new and just doesn’t match the watch. The point is: Enjoy it.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops! MAMACOO watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
Lots of relatable topics. My tick is occasionally checking if my screw down crown is screwed in all the way 😂 You know how i avoid wrist cheese? I wash my watch at the sink at night after i take it off for the day. Wipe it dry with a microfiber cloth, then lay it gently down on a soft cloth surface to air dry overnight.
2:40 - I totally do all of those things to protect my watch from walls and other things that could scratch it. I laughed hard when you mentioned the advanced pulling down of the sleeve of my sweater, I’ve done that since I got my first watch as a kid, it is almost a reflex action built into my DNA. I have watch helix DNA 😂
Regarding the crystal wipe tic, I have the same thing with my cellphone screen. Always carry a microfiber cloth somewhere on me, buffing that screen to perfection at least 20 times per day. I did the same thing with my fancy new Ray-Bans, until I dropped them while randomly taking them off to buff them. Of course I do a quick watch rub when I have the cloth out anyways, like I'm expecting a blue genie to pop out of my arm.
Another mistake is spending big. I've got three Rolexes, then bought the 38mm Origin from Jody last month at £300. I can't be bothered wearing the others now; a pity I've promised them to my sons as I could use the cash.
The first sentence is 100% fact. 😂 5:40 I’m glad I’m not the only one that does that. HAHA! The last point hit home hard! 😂 The writing in these videos is only outdone by Andrew’s delivery of it.
My occasional quirky behavior is to change my watch during the day. Like today, I was wearing my Seiko SKX but changed to JLC Reverso in the afternoon.
'That new car smell' hasn't been a thing for a very long time. It came about when there was real wood, leather and other organic materials used in the interior. Now it's just a ton of newly-minted plastics gassing off, and it's actually very toxic in there.
I also do the whole ‘left arm thing’ - with my F91W fam - no cap Oh, and I’m also very adept with the ‘reconnaissance fist’ - but I’ll pretend I didn’t tell you that Andrew - I don’t want you to be demonetised
Your latest video on the Chopard watch really resonated with me 🤩👍 it’s even available in Stuttgart, wouldn’t be there this nagging view on my credit card account 😂🙈 what a wonderful watch.
You hit so many of these quirks square on the head. The setting the time, the jacket check, the toothbrush hack, the casual glance [self-directed or at another fellow's], the sussing out your surroundings based on what's on our wrist-- guilty of all these. Here's a tip related to the jacket check: don't buy a jacket that uses magnets to close pockets or, heaven forbid, the cuffs. It will wreak havoc with mechanical and quartz movements.

My newest watch buy is the most I’ve spent on a watch. I’ve taken to placing it on a nice soft beer mat on my bedside table to avoid the hard scratchy oak damaging its brushed steel side.
