The conceal ones are the best, main purpose of this is to secure the watches in style, the ones that are a cabinet are pointless. So cool. That guy pronounced Bugatti the right way and immediately Michael responds the wrong way 🤣🤣 Biiugiatti.
That was awesome. I always knew there had to be better watch storage than the garbage on Amazon or the overpriced "luxury" watch storage. These are handmade by real craftsman works of art. Please do more shows like this!
I saw the look Michael gave @10:09 as he just mentally bought the museum inbuilt collector in that instant! In all seriousness, it was the best combination of utterly cool, functionality and not absurdly priced. I also loved the full length vision and the Soltaire. Put aside $50k for fitting, I'd imagine! What a great person Ruedi is to show 'us' around - I want to visit his establishment!
if u think shit like this isn't overpriced your concept of money is already ruined. some of these were 5 times or more what people make in a year, just to hold ur watch ? yeh fuck that.
Even though I will likely never own a luxury watch, I really enjoy watching your channel. You live in a different world and it is fun getting a glimpse.
That is such a coincidence 😂 I just visited the factory a month ago and saw assembly and production. Great team and great pieces. Funny enough they are located in an active school wich makes a tour kind of awkward. But the safes are amazing. I have a Orion XL VDS3 coming this year. What a piece. Thanks Michael for showing everyone how great these safes are. Greetings from Germany.
@@FahadFSA it is in an old school. Apparently they had to move from their old place and are now in the lower part of the school. This is only temporary tho.
Gee weez, just when you think you've seen it all when it comes to watches... Another world of wonders has just opened up for our imaginations to run free. imagine what Jacob Arabo would do with such a concept! Being a child of the 70s and 80s, the ''neon light'' & crazy futuristic art deco years, I already have lots of creative ideas that come to mind on how I would design my own safes. Now, all i need is to be rich.
I always wondered how people that don’t secure their collection in a bank vault kept their watches / jewelry safe. Obviously a safe of some kind, but this is a different level of protection. Very fun video.
wonder how they factor in all the costs of owning and keeping watch collection. but you do need a safe if you don't want stuff going missing or dont not have such things in the first place
I would assume everyone keeps their million dollar watch collections in banks for insurance purposes anyway. I think even 100k dollar vault is not very big obstacle for someone who is specialized on stealing in high end homes... It is obsatacle maybe for your kids or mother in law.. :)
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Watch Safes, Vaults & Winders! -SO COOL!!!! Thank You Wempe Fifth Avenue store for sharing! I LOVE the Mirrored One with the hidden safe. Very Discreet!
Amazing safes and watch winders Michael. ! Loved the two mirrored ones they were the least obvious as being mega watch/jewellery holders. Great video as always, thank Michael and Adam. ❤ Love from Australia #inittowinit 😊
One thing I've learnt from PM videos is that the second any salesperson refers to any object as a 'piece' you need to get the hell outta there because you can't afford it.
This makes me very emotional because even tho i could never afford any of the Jacob and co. watch i understand the work it take to make one.The people that buy Jacob and co. watch's really don't understand how much effort go's into making.
I like it how Michael calls everything ‘guys’ and nobody else does at first, but then they quickly succumb and before long they’re calling everything ‘guys’ too!! 😂 Even Jacob 😂😂
As a law enforcement officer. The first thing criminals go for is the safe. If they can’t get it they’ll take it out. Ive seen burglaries where very large safes were dragged down stairs and tied to a car to be pulled out. Your house gets very damaged in the process as well. I personally would never put anything in a safe unless it’s required by insurance. Better to hide your items in unsuspecting areas.
This exactly. A safe like this is only going to attract bad guys. They just confirm that you have something you are trying to protect. Other (and bigger) problem is that the only thing standing in between the bad guy and the safe is you. These are terrible ideas. If you have watches that require high levels of protection you need to use a safe deposit box.
You’re right, beautiful safes but the security just isn’t there. With collections that would be catered with the budgets for the safes a TL30 would be needed at least maybe even a TL30X6.
A safe should be bolted to the floor, ideally into concrete. And any decent one is going to weigh 400+ lbs. You’ve seen thieves tear out that type of safe, or some $500 Costco “home security” safe? 😂 I understand your point about hiding small items, but what if you actually want them protected from things like a quick burglary or more importantly, fire? Sure, you can insure them, but you might not actually be able to replace them. Discontinued models, special/limited editions or even simply sentimental value pieces…I’d much rather save the watch than get a check for “replacement value.” And who has the time or patience to drive to the bank to get into a safe deposit box every time you want to wear a watch? It makes sense to keep the super high end pieces, investment pieces or long term storage pieces there, but the models you actually wear? They need a secure home at home. Having said that, I wouldn’t buy one of these units. They’re gorgeous, but they’re ridiculously expensive for units that don’t appear to have proper fire protection, despite his offhanded “Oh yeah” assurance in the video.
The mirrors solve this issue except you have to hide it even from the housekeepers & clean if yourself. Not something most people of a certain tax bracket would agree to doing 😂
I would assume everyone keeps their million dollar watch collections in banks for insurance purposes anyway. I think even 100k dollar vault is not very big obstacle for someone who is specialized on stealing in high end homes... It is obstacle maybe for your kids or mother in law.. :)
Yeah, we need a special coat hanger by the front door that holds a few mechaquarz ones, zero obstruction. If anyone steals those 4 digits pieces, it's just bad karma for them, we have a whole war chest of those in the attic. Also by the front door, a trap door for any stuff to quickly dispose of quickly, like a temporary deposit safe. Say you don't have time to go and open your safe, and you have guests anyway, you can toss your expensive watch in the wall bin and collect it from the adjacent high security room's safe another time. Each time you used the trap door, of course the items go into a separate padded safe compartment.
I think it would be time for Mr. Blakey and Adam to go head-to-head in a watch shopping competition in a place like Wempe, just like Kevin O'Leary and Teddy Baldassarre. What do you guys think?
They won’t protect them though, any robber with the right tools and half a brain is easily breaking in to them. These are purely cosmetic with limited protection. If someone wants to get in, they will get in!
That's a joke right? You can go buy a gun safe that is the same size for probably a couple grand and put some watch winders in it and have the identical performance and protection for easily less than 5% of the price of these. The markup on these must be disgusting. This is one of those things that even if I had 5 billion dollars I still don't think I would buy.
The problem with a visible safe is that once they put a gun against your head… you’ll remember the code for sure… built in, hidden for even skilled eyes is probably the way to go…
Probably not. Most of these very wealthy people were born with money or connections…the Lord would want you to be of service to your community and share your wealth. Rich folks aren’t really very holy.
