I have a 90% winrate in ranked so far with ootd. 10/11 games. At first I thought they couldn't be very aggressive, but horsemen/archer is a really strong opening.
@@jeromemartel3916how is 2 town center bad , I feel like the ability to get those dragon villagers out is so valuable because of your double cost units
@@Dead1yProductions It's bad. Yes your units cost twice as much but they train also twice as fast so basically if you go 2TCs, you may be able to produce more of them but your early defense will be twice as bad as normal with your units being more costly and the second TC not doing much good for you since the civ has no synergy with 2 TCs. You better go for risky food source (deer and boar) than go 2nd TC as you can protect 6 vills worth of food gathering with one tower and 5 vills as well as using the increased income to produce more units. Alot of people even start on deer as soon as they can in dark age because your vills a sturdier.
@@jeromemartel3916 is it still viable to go and fight in feuadal? I've been watching beasty and he goes 2tc ootd and rarely goes for 1tc agressive openings
U didn’t mention it so I figured I’d let the comments know the handcannons have less damage than regular ones but twice the attack speed so they still have a higher dps than regular civs and more hp but they overkill less and overall feel much much better than standard handgunners
Additionally, with a slightly higher base damage and chemistry and prelates inspiration, they deal up to 52 damage, versus 42 of a regular one, which makes them even more effective against highly armored units (those with 9+ range armor). Attack speed is 1.12 vs 2.12, basically 1.9 times faster
thanks valdemar, great video! very nice summary of the civ. if i plan to go imp with swabia, do you think its better to stay on one TC and defend with bows/spears? how about towers? depens probably what i scout, but are the stronger as well? or just the units?
i think its kinda bad developing that they made subclassed as hre is d tier lacks any cavalery and footman are trash mostly compared to palace gurads and order got bonkers buff to gathering amount with way better special units even if they cost 2x its not a problem with hre bonus imo they just made hre unplayable compared to dragon order
Hi, I was in love with Doppelsoldners at Age of Empires 3. I really like small elite infantry that can surprise attack and cripple enemy by destroying crucial buildings (factory at aeo3, landmark in aeo4) I guess this faction really fits my playstyle? Is this true or did I get this faction wrong.@@Mindfreakypinky

It’s a stupidly strong opening.
Yeah people going for 2 tc are just shooting themselves in the foot

If you can micro at all, those archers will be unstoppable in feudal.

When is the aoe damage with spearman torches useful? For like houses or farms all grouped up? Seems kind of niche/just a win more tech.
It’s indeed for farms, destroying farms it’s really bad for your enemies eco since not most civs get discounts for farms
Vey nice video! Thanks!
look at the horseman bug at 4:14 mounting the head of the horse than sliding back lol kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

You want to harass with horsemen while you go castle age, so your opponent has to defend and can't attack!
What’s a faction that counter order of the dragon?
Good video and your accent is great! Some English accents I just can't follow
When to make Ma'a?
I play them aggressively, with all the siege bonus
1 gold 1 stone mines rally food 2tc
Explain?😊
@triantulas ride 1gold 1 stone to 8 on food. Then 2 gold 2 stone. Hit 350 stone and age up gold send the 4 wood. Rally wood. Age up tc!
I'm seeing each unit counts as two population as well, you hadn't mentioned that.

but idk how this 2x cost in pop and resources will transfer to conqueror elo maybe its weak but when game is slow it may be good
im so happy they gave some love hre i always wanted to play them but lack of cavalery made me to rethink this but with this subclass im hyped :D
