I Know the feeling when Nirvana played at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ on July 13, 1989 (Thats only 45 Minutes away from my House) but I was only 7-Months Old on July 13, 1989..... Nirvana Played at Maxwell's in Hoboken NJ again 9 months later on April 28, 1990 (As I was 16 Months Old at this Time around).... 45 Minutes Away Nirvana was from my House twice... Nirvana would of drove down the Highway passed my town, and the 3rd and Last time Nirvana ever played in New Jersey was on September 27, 1991 at City Gardens in Trenton, NJ (Thats about an Hour away from My House) and I was only 3 Years Old In 1991.... and those are the only 3 shows Nirvana played in NJ (Nirvana did do their MTV Unplugged Rehearsals on November 16th & 17th 1993 in Weehawken, NJ) but that was a Private Rehearsal not an Open show Like the 1989 Maxwell's, 1990 Maxwell's 1991 City Gardens shows..... If Only I was Older I would of Been to ALL 3 of those Shows......
Saw them sometime in '89 open for Sonic Youth at Cabaret Metro. Frankly Sonic Youth were a lot more ferocious and interesting to watch. Nirvana didn't leave much of an impression on me. Also the live date timelines I've seen on the internet seem off to me - they show them playing at Metro 3 times in 1989 & twice in the same month.
