      Do some bone in chicken directly over the heat. Would love to see how that works out.

    Thanks for your content. You are pretty much the only one who uploads consistently about the Judge. I've been trying to get some research done but there's very few videos out there. My HD has them for $449. Was yours on sale? I'd love to see you do wings next!

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jon - Mine was not on sale but I did buy it in spring so maybe I got it before the “summer prices”. Either way it’s worth every penny, and then some. I appreciate you watching and I will do wings in the near future! Happy grilling!

    Awesome Videos on the Judge mate! can you tell me more or make a vid about how you set up your lump charcoals for low and slows?

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Keat Too! Thank you for the compliment and thanks for watching. I use about a third chimney full of lump or about a quarter chimney for briquettes. Then put them in top right corner of charcoal grate. Then add unlit coal from the lit pile to the bottom right corner. Close lid and use dampers to control temp. Ill make a video as well.

    Have you ever had your charcoal or wood burn on just the ash pan? No charcoal grate?

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not tried that method. I imagine the coals or wood would not get enough oxygen if done that way.

    • @jonkarg2528
      @jonkarg2528 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GobbaGooBBQ , assuming the lid is closed. I'm just curious if you think the ash pan is durable enough to have a fire on it?

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jonkarg2528 Yes the ash pan is very well built and very heavy duty. I was very surprised how well it’s built.

    how are the temp controls on the Judge? Do you have to consistently adjust dampers to lock in that temp you want?

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Temp controls are pretty close to set it and forgot it. Pretty easy to dial it in.

    Does The Judge work ok with 2 wheels instead of 4?

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This heavy grill is very easy to 2 wheels. The large size of the wheel makes it easy. Thanks for watching.

    These reviews on The Judge are awesome, it's been difficult finding any others out there. I'm curious how you're still liking it and how it's holding up. I'd be curious to see any mods - maybe a row of firebricks on the inside to create some sort of separation of the 2 zone cooking. Also would love to see a brisket vid!

    • @GobbaGooBBQ
      @GobbaGooBBQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you Adam! The Judge has become my go to bbq. Freakn love this thing. Keep your eye out for a brisket vid in the near future and I would like to have some sort of two zone mod. I might have to try out the fire brick thing. Thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate you watching. Oh and it’s holding up great, even after some extreme high heat cooks.
