Ive only done it once or twice on accident from holding the R1 too long after a fire cracker, so Ive tried doing it intentionally a few times and can never pull it off without the owl hitting the prayer emote on me (which is a cool note that you do the same animation after stabbing him in the back at the end of the fight)

TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE STRUGGLING WITH THIS GAUNTLET I learned that you can carry over the ceremonial tanto spirit emblems through loading screens. After a boss fight, rest, use the tanto, and then use a pellet to bring you back up to just about full health. The extra 5 spirit emblems are a life saver against fights like the demon of hatred and and the ape duo, and also makes cheesing the guardian ape solo and false monk a breeze. Divine confetti and akos sugar also help against most if not all bosses
I'm on playthrough 15 at the moment and considered myself a decent player beating the game with the demon bell and no charm but I had full stats and still struggled. You are probably the #1 Sekiro player in the world and it is a pleasure watching you fight
I get the feeling. I’m on playthrough 13, with long breaks in between due to college, did my first charmless run a little while ago, trying the demon bell rn. I consider myself a pretty good player. Whenever I see this man’s videos I get pulled back to reality

There are also Other ways Instead of loaded umbrella You can run away from Emma's Grab It can save your emblems and its easier to get Vitality damage if you're Quick enough

I got through Sekiro on my first run because of ONGBAL. I kept watching his videos and telling myself that I can do it too, even if in a much more amateur way lol
I've come back to this video so many times. It's so impressive when you are new to the game and struggling. It's even more impressive once you have completed it. But somehow, once you feel like a master of the game, it's the most impressive of all. Only then can it be appreciated how above and beyond ONGBAL is.
This is incredible gameplay, dedication and skill. I'm starting to like souls game more now, such as sekiro and bloodborne, but the combat in this game is my fave i think in souls games. After finding out, there was more end game stuff, once training was done in strength of reflection, I completed gauntlet of strength and tried gauntlet of severance but had to start again lol. Some of these bosses are tough! Have you played any of the other souls like bloodborne and Dark Souls? Really awesome gameplay!

I've come back to this video so many times.
It's so impressive when you are new to the game and struggling. It's even more impressive once you have completed it.
But somehow, once you feel like a master of the game, it's the most impressive of all. Only then can it be appreciated how above and beyond ONGBAL is.
This is incredible gameplay, dedication and skill. I'm starting to like souls game more now, such as sekiro and bloodborne, but the combat in this game is my fave i think in souls games. After finding out, there was more end game stuff, once training was done in strength of reflection, I completed gauntlet of strength and tried gauntlet of severance but had to start again lol. Some of these bosses are tough! Have you played any of the other souls like bloodborne and Dark Souls? Really awesome gameplay!
Ongbal has a video on parrying dark souls 3 bosses among his dark souls 3 videos. I'm not sure if they have videos on bloodborne.
Actually, I think ongbal has mentioned that they don't have a ps4 so they can't play bloodborne yet.
