The real advantage is making the boss block the Shuriken and engage you Trying to engage Inner Father is VERY risky, it's almost always better to have him come to you. This is easily accomplished by Shuriken as it keep the AI's aggro up
The use of rice is a stroke of brilliance. I’ve seen him do some incredibly clever tactics and tricks, but the timing, tactics, and positioning all have to be perfect to pull that off. Doing it towards the end of a 17 boss hitless run while charmless is just otherworldly and shows true mastery.
I just realized that each health bar (dot) averages out at about a minute for nearly every boss. The Owls and Demon of Hatred are the biggest exceptions. Simply amazing!
The fight with Owl (Father) around 21:00 is amazing, and I believe is exactly how the game is meant to be played. Full concentration, with tight defense and furious aggression. Mad props.
What i love about your videos are that you always add flair to your fights......aside from extreme skill you also make fights entertaining to watch by using prosthetics and strats people dont really know about. Excellent work on this run. Enjoyed each and every fight and got to learn a few strats too.
Sakuras dance is easily the best combat art in the game the move alone can counter lightning and sweeps and now can be used to cheese a boss effectively lol not to mention it looks beautiful doing it beating inner genichiro is well worth it

lol I did beat all bosses in this game No damage (no kuro charm+bell demon) and including all inner bosses but To get no hit run this will cost me alot of time and patient so for now I will leave it later when I become like this guy maybe after 1-2 years of practicing who knows.

And Good luck you can get inner Isshin no damage (no kuro charm +bell demon) but you need to practicing alot And learn the perfect timing of the deflect if you try it you will know what I mean.

I am convinced there is actually a reward for beating this gauntlet, but not only does it require charmless/bell demon, it also requires no resting. You’re the only player I know who is patient enough to even try.
Man, this guy is just on another level. I am doing my first base posture run (WITH charm), and it is just crazy hard. I'm stuck on Sword Saint Isshin right now. One hit means death. yeah but every version of them are unique so it doesnt really matter(except way of tomoe genichiro and normal genichiro theyre the same except for 1 lame easy to deflect move(lightning))
Man I beat the mortal journey myself, but the discipline required to take no hits is astounding. I struggled to maintain the correct mentality throughout 17 fights.

I notice this consistently in your runs; why do you jump before Mortal Draw?
Enhanced Mortal Draw requires that you hold it for a bit before it gets stronger. Jumping negates the need to charge it.
This is the difference between learning a boss because you have mastered it rather than knowing a boss by dying to it
