Godly level of play aside, what I adore about your videos is that they showcase the incredible amount of strategic depth and variety possible in Sekiro, which (if on the surface not having as much variety as Souls) has a near limitless level of variety possible in play. absolutely brilliant work as always
Seriously, it always bugs me when people say the weapon arts and prosthetic weapons are useless. They just don't know how to use 'em.

Nah sekiro combat is infinitely more fun to me than any of the souls games and i hate how elden ring didn’t borrow more of sekiros mechanics

I got all achievements for Sekiro and finished all Gauntlets, but only after I started watching you I got an appreciation with status effects. Coming from souls games, statuses you could inflict are almost always worse than direct damage you can deal, so you usually don't bother with them. But Sekiro is more defensive and more tactical, and every chip damage counts for dropping enemy from fast stamina regen to slow one. I gotta run through the game again, only this time using fire and poison tools more. Your usage of shinobi tools is so on point, it's like watching another game completely.
do you remember the times when bleed was so op in ds3 that it was literally easy mode. status effects are not always useless lol

that first phase of Guardian Ape had me in awe
I died more times to the 1st phase of the ape than to ishin in the end
It’s always an amazing experience when a boss you’ve spent hundreds of hours to do a no-hit run w/ demon bell and charmless gets absolutely slapped around by Ongbal in less than 5 minutes.. wonderful work as always!

Most people will never understand how amazing this video is. The beauty, the art, it is mesmerizing
The fact that he can change tools and utilize them so quickly and also he can exploit any little delay from enemy attack to land some hit is amazing.
It's feel like i can't never do that, especially when using keyboard and mouse (my mouse sometimes double click too, making me missed deflect or mikiri or jump), and pc that can't stable at 60fps lol.
I've read there's a restraint order being sent to ONGBAL right now, signed by all the bosses from Sekiro.
My biggest takeaway from this video is learning that you can use Sakura Dance to trigger Lightning Reversal, I had no idea. I swear I learn new things about this game constantly
if you played vs inner genichiro you would learn that sakura can reverse lighting
And to get the Sakura Dance you need to beat Inner Genichiro... But understandably one is more worried about defeating him than about which move he uses to reverse lightning.

I remember when people were saying that this game would eventually become boring and have no replay value because there wouldn't be any variety in the combat due to lack of builds and weapons.

Standing in owl's firecracker combo just wrecks you. Getting mikiri'd by owl wrecks you even worse.
But this man just stands still and thrusts, which carries him out of the firecrackers AND staggers owl out of his followup slash.
I don't know how he even thought of trying that.

Hey, I found a quite stylish way to avoid Inner Isshin's 2° phase combo (the sweep attack+mid-air spear slash+thrust/charged wind attack):
Just as Isshin has finished raising the sword, one instant before he starts charging towards you, jump and try to get on his side. Then, while being in air, jump again on his head for posture damage. Although, this has to be very precise as you'll jump just millimetres above Isshin's spear. Wolf will then land on the ground just in time to block either the thrust attack or the charged attack.
Also, the slow, charged wind+spear attack he does in 2° phase can be avoided by performing the Sakura dance. If you start the combo before the "air particles" have entered his body, you will interrupt the attack. If you do it immediately before or in the moment the particles have entered his body, the last of the 3 hits of the dance will hit him after his attack. It's quite cinematic.

How is your HP like that? I know that sugar buff reduse your health but wasn't like this when i used it + how is your posture recovering so fast when it's full? I do perfect deflects too but that's new to me

Could someone explain what happens at 2:24 with getting the first deathblow off on Owl? From what I see, it looks like Sekiro parrying those shuriken is what gets Owl into the deathblow state, which doesn't make sense. Is something else going on?

@@poopunofficial4435 if you check ongbals speedrun of great shinobi owl you will see him using a mortal blade so it works either way
You should check distant and timing. It's hard to explain but you can feel it easily :)
