@@therat7886 Edelgard isn't an Agarthan, so her mother could have been in love with her father, who knows if she was still her mother when she went to the kingdom in exile, but I believe that she was. But this does prove that Those Who Slither in the dark were deeply rooted in the Empire, and we also know that Cornelia was a skin, I think this adds credence to the accusation that Patricia did want to return to the Empire and her husband and daughter so badly she was willing to murder her new husband and stepson and their entourage to fake her own death to slip back into the empire unnoticed by the nobles who forced her into exile in the first place. I haven't found anything in the game that mentions what lady Patricia did after, Edelgard never says she's still alive, and that's probably intentional to avoid confirming something and ruining a great mystery that kept us on the edge of our seats playing blue lions, but if it is somewhere and I just missed it please let me know.
Of course she did. Edelgard couldn’t go against her abusers (TWSITD) because she’s trapped by her own status, and could only ever rely on herself. Byleth is a guiding light to her because he’s the only person who ever spoke to her as an equal, and was always willing to hear her out.
Before the game released I was shipping Dimitri with Edelgard and was planning to have their supports together... Didn't realize there would be no opportunity for that. I would have liked to have seen it

And to think they are step-siblings since Edelgard's mother remarried Dimitri's father? Okay, that's too much, but that makes wanting a true ending route all the more reasonable. While this is more like renewing their bond as "brothers in arms" alongside Claude, this should also resolve their strained relationship from after they split after the Tragedy of Duscur.
Man, I was trying everything to get this scene but instead Dorothea was the one who showed up. This happened because I was at level B with Dorothea, and even though I could go to B rank with Edelgard as well, for story reasons the game did not allow me to achieve B support yet.
I have the exact same support levels as you, but got Edelgard in the tower. However, one sunday explore earlier that month, I had spoken to a guard (the guard by the marketplace) about the goddess tower. Right after the convo, I got to choose someone I'd hope would come. Did you speak to that guard?

Garon literally had consorts for the fun of watching them fight among themselves. Genealogy of the Holy War has incest (which causes the hilarious incest glitch in one case). Corrin can marry his step siblings. There are a few more examples, but those are the best ones I can think of.

Yes i checked my highest support was bernadetta and what do you know she shows up at the tower. My second playtrough i talked to the Guard near the Market who usually says nothing to report but during the month he tells you about the tower and there you can choose a romancable character to show up instead of the highest one

It's so silly that you have to speak to a guard to get that scene since for all I know it's impossible to get B support with Edelgard at this point in story. I was going to a tea party with her every single time it was possible and gave her shit ton of gifts and yet I had only C+ support with her.
I think you have to build up the relationship between you and her in a way that she has the best relationship with you and then you go to the grand ball
While Edelgard can be a female Byleth S support, It seems like only guys appear in the goddess tower for Female Byleth and Females for Male Byleth. Perhaps you were female Byleth then? EDIT: I just looked it up, I was wrong, you can meet Edelgard in the goddess tower as FByleth, your support probably just wasn't high enough.

You can only get up to a C+ rank and it IS possible for Edelgard to be an option if Byleth is female. Proof: I've played this game A LOT. And I can confirm that when I played through Black Eagles: Edelgard, Dorothea and Mercedes (who I did recruit) were available to do this event.
Is there a Claude event? It was SO annoying because I couldnt support with him anymore until story events happened, so then I got one with Sylvain instead and i feel so ripped off (but i also love sylvain so i guess that's fine lmao)
There is. Talk to the Gatekeeper sometime during that month. He'll tell you about the legend surrounding the Goddess Tower and you'll get an option to pick someone "that comes to mind".
You're supposed to talk with the Gatekeeper the month of the ball when you explore. If you have C-support with Claude at that point, you should be able to select him. I chose and got Claude for this event in my playthrough after following all the conditions. Though, judging by how often I tea-timed him, the game might have just flung me with him anyway xD

Nope. It depends on the support level Byleth has. Talk to the Gatekeeper before this and pick who you want. Note there will be limits like members of the Church, the Ashen Wolves and the other 2 House leaders and retainers(Aside from Hilda on the Azure Moon route) are not selectable.
I don't think you can with female Byleth, you can only do Goddess Tower events with someone of the opposite sex, even if you can later get a same-sex S-support.

The way this damn game decides support related stuff is total bullshit. The game won't let me pick Edelgard over other characters I have B-Rank support with but won't let me get the B-Rank support with Edelgard...That is so dumb. I have B-Rank supports with other characters outside the Black Eagles cause I wanted to recruit them WITHOUT having to go through the bullshit of leveling a skill that I won't be using on Byleth like all the movement based requirements. The only other option I had was to go with getting B-Rank support to get them easier.

I thought the Voice acting was more bearable and not as cartoonish or off-putting as most anime dubs can be, I haven't played DQ11 though so I can't compare.
I really wanted to hear the JP version. I haven't done a playthrough in English so hearing Edelgard speak in EN shocked me lmao. I definitely prefer the JP version of voice acting.

Actually it's based on who has the highest Charm (Cha) stat. But yeah, if you talk to Gatekeeper on the month of the ball you can choose who to meet.

Shamir doesn't have a goddess tower scene; only students have them.
Unfortunately, the English Sub in this game isn't nearly close to Dragon Quest 11 level.
