I replaced my closet's bar from wood one (that was bowing) to a metal rod. I went to the hardware store with my old wood closet bar so I'd know the length to get and I played helpless girl (don't judge me!) and I got someone there to cut a metal rod to size. Fit perfectly no more problem with heavy things bending the closet bar.
I’ve been doing this for months because growing up I never really got rid of clothing so I still had clothing from childhood that still fit me cuz I was big as a child and those clothes fit me as I got older and slimmed down a bit. So I added clothes without getting rid of any. I still have work to do so I’m hoping to get near what Janelle did for maya 😁
Maya and Curly's videos have really inspired me. When they said that originally they would keep their closets close so they wouldn't have to see it, that's me 😅 I hoard way too many clothes, both like Curly (beauty in pieces) and Maya (sentimental value), but I want to do better!
I saw that too ! You can clearly see at 8:49 that there is so much more clothing hanging than previously, they should've added one of those things that you screw from the middle of the rod to the shelf over it to lessen the tension of the weight

I just did the same thing and just purged half of my closet. Just donated about 25 pairs of pants that were just way too big. Savers just got 3 boxes and 2 garbage bags full of things.
