Thank you mate, the kit was £365 and it’s from travelin-lite, just make sure your van fits the criteria before buying, you need to have factory electric windows I think
It’s one of those things that I have wanted for my van for well over a year now and I finally pulled the trigger on buying it, wasn’t even that hard to fit! Not thinking of getting rid of the Vivaro are you?!
I did just look on the website to see where they deliver to and it says European deliveries available, also there is an option to change the website language to Spanish at the bottom left :)
Hi! Maybe I didnt catch everything, but how about "Lock/Unlock" button (from inside) on the new mirror controler? Did you connect it and how? Its working ? Thank you :)
The new mirror controller doesn’t come with new lock/unlock buttons, it’s just the little joystick, so you have to remove the old joystick from button cluster (just 2 small screw drivers and it will release from underneath) and push the new one in until it clicks, not sure I’m explaining it very well but it makes more sense when you have it in your hand, I hold it at 4:03. The mirrors don’t fold in with the lock/unlock buttons but you wouldn’t want them to, because otherwise if you wanted to lock your van while driving with the door buttons the mirrors would fold in! But there is a dedicated mirror fold position on the joystick if you ever want to fold them in manually. So far everything works perfectly! The only issue I’m having is that they pause sometimes but I believe this is down to a door micro switch issue rather than the mirrors themselves, hope I explained it well
@@TeeeTV thank you! Yes I see can it now, that this bigest controler is yours orginal one and it means that the "lock/unlock" inside button (red one connector on the wirings) is default function of yours van .. I'm trying to find some information about the situation where van is without this and I would like to ad this button (and function) in my van, but I'm realy not sure how its eletricaly works (and I'm trying to figure it out).. :)
So I didn’t even realise that some vans didn’t have a drivers door lock/unlock! Unfortunatly I don’t know anything about fitting one but I have found this: www.vwt4forum.co.uk/threads/interior-central-locking-switch-retrofit.1791752/
I wish I had time on my hands, my filming schedule is based around my lunch break and if I want to do a bigger job I’ll book the day off work, and attracting subscribers is the entire goal of posting TH-cam videos
Nice Mod 👍Well done Tom. Enjoying your channel
Thank you! I appreciate you! Trying my best to get more videos out soon as I can

That’s a great little mod mate, I’m making a list ready for when I finally get in a t5 haha

@@TeeeTV nice! Won’t be anytime soon mate, but I want a t5 eventually

Donde compraste la centralita para los espejos?

@@TeeeTV beautiful! Thank you :)
What year is your T5.
I have a 2006 T5 and just wondering if they will fit mine.
How much were they.
Thanks
This upgrade, if you get genuine folding mirrors should have to get a module too?
Yes I believe you’ll still need the module, because the wiring doesn’t exist in the van for the powerfold if it didn’t come from factory
Loads of work m8 but we'll worth it.
I think someone has too much time on their hands... hmmmn?, "How to attract Subscribers"
