I was (AFAIK) the first person in Spain to get the 1000 Gs for this one! The last achievement was so brutal: win every race in every category and every circuit (normal and mirror) without hitting other cars or the stage. So basically you had to do perfect races. The catch is: you had no way of knowing if you had hit/been hit by something during the race, you had to complete the whole race and then check the menu for a "cleared race" symbol. Lots of times I thought I had done it, just to find out I had to repeat the race again. It was hell...but those 1000/1000 are my proudest achievement on the 360!! Good times!

I used to enjoy RR7 (which is very similar to RR6) so much in my childhood. So many memories rushed in my mind while watching this video...
Ridge Racer 6 is a pretty damn Good Ridge Racer Game. I like the cars, the music, the racing tracks, the atmosphere was so good, the intro was so amazing and overall Ridge Racer 6 Game did an amazing job!
Yeah its a really good game, its a shame Namco doesn't seems to make a new Ridge Racer :(
I had this game back in 2010, I loved it. The last time I ever got to play it was 2017 then it was lost…
I always liked the music that starts @ 2:35, the song by Drake called Show me a good time has a familiar piano sound. If you listen to the instrumental version and skip to :45 that part always reminds me of this song/game

I grew up with this game and holy crap. I just realized this game plays on the same console as Forza 4 and GTA 5. This game still looks amazing for 2005 but wow, the developers didn't fully realize the potential of the hardware for sure.

The typical green tone of the XBOX games of that time, while Playstation, in all its generations opted for a steel gray tone, which gave their games a realistic feeling.
I say this as an anecdote, since XBOX appeared to put Sony in trouble, and little by little it is eating ground by force of good policies.

Although "Final Tekken Calibur: Ridge Racer" is a multi-game crossover with Final Fantasy, Soul Calibur, Tekken and Ridge Racer with Reiko Nagase, it is formerly known as "Soul Fantasy" in Ridge Racer 6.

Wow this was the first game I got for my xbox360. Until I discovered Halo 3 and COD4. Never played another racing game after I discovered how much fun FPS were.

I like the colors and graphics much bette than gran turismo. The colors on the car might not be as realistic but the background are much better and creative.
Ridge Racer is an arcade racing game. It's not supposed to be realistic.

RacingGameArchive No problem. Any tips on drifting for this game? I tried out the demo for an hour and somewhat got used to drifting with Standard and Mild type cars, but I still have yet to understand how to control a Dynamic type car when it comes to drifting and knowing how to end the drift. Thank you in advance.
@@E24KLawson I struggled with the dynamic handling, really couldn't get to grips with those cars. They are to drifty for my taste.

@@RacingGameArchive actually Ridge Racer is all about the speed and the drifting. The game is all about arcade racing fun.

It looks like the PSP. Not better. Which is weird. The power of the consoles is not commensurate. I mean, the PSP is not even close to the power of the PS2. In general, the Japanese did a miracle with RR2 on a portable console. It's still a pleasure to watch.
If only this was on PC.

doesn't look as fun as 4 or 5
5 was eh. I only liked the duels, and 4 gets boring after 2 playthroughs
actually its better than 4 and 5. RR 7 (which is just RR 6 with some additional racks and a brigter colour palette) is even a bit better. Still i played RR6 more since it had online chat, which PS3 didn't have out of the Box.
