Oh and gratitude being an expression of faith - how true that is! Never really thought of that before.

Good morning! I have been trying to give more thankful prayers and repent quickly when I complain, murmur or when I’m being judgmental. I find as I do this, my days are better and good things happen throughout the day. If I do come across something or someone negative, it doesn’t bother me as much as it previously did. The spirit is with me more. Being grateful is just a better way to live. Also I love the idea of a blessing basket. I’m going to start implementing this when I pray with my family, each night.🥰

I never thought of gratitude as the key to receiving inspiration from the Lord. As I thought about it I thought how true that is! How can I receive guidance or inspiration from the Lord if I am not grateful for what He has already given me. It is hard to be grateful for tribulations when we are going through it. I think back on the time my parents divorced, when they each married different people and I had to move out of the house I grew up in and into my stepdads mobile home with my mother. Then a year later my own father dying of cancer. I am grateful now for these tribulations because they helped me become the person I am today. It is a lot easier to look back on them and be grateful than it was to be grateful at the time that’s for sure ! But we should be grateful for ALL things, even the trials. I would say especially the trials because they are what really shapes us.
