One of my favorite lines!! His love allows an encouraging embrace when it is needed and a bitter cup when it has to be swallowed. So we try to love-with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength-because that is the way He loves us. So thankful that Heavenly Father has preserved Elder Holland to be with us a little bit longer!❤😊❤
Elder Holland did it again! I don’t think he is capable of giving a poor talk. Furthermore, you can hear him struggling as he gives this talk, yet he is talking to the discouraged, even himself and he says we must finish the course, regardless of what opposition may come our way. He is a true disciple of Christ and when I listen to him, I’m encouraged. I’m lifted and ready to fight this battle of life with Christ by my side. I know your discussion will be fantastic!
So for the past week I have spent a good amount of time looking for Christmas presents for family and purchasing Christmas presents. Now I’m Going to start wrapping Christmas presents. If I were to stand apart and look at myself and compare the amount of time I have spent doing this vs the amount of time I have spent seeking Christ, how would that compare? Should I not be spending more time seeking Him, seeking His words, seeking His spirit, seeking to understand Him and seeking to become more like Him? Would this not be of more value to me as far as how I choose to use my time?

Here’s a really good talk: How to Worship by Bruce R McConkie. October 1971.
Conference talk suggestion: From Whom All Blessings Flow. Neal A Maxwell April 1997.
