  • LDSGirlDoes Come Follow Me: Early morning study and reflection on The Book of Mormon. Praise that every good thing comes from Him.
    New Website: ldsgirldoes.ne...
In the same vein of our New Testament challenge we're going to carry on with likening the scriptures to us, finding the passages that speak to us and creating statements that will help us incorporate those verses into our daily lives. We're also going to focus on Christ-like attributes. Each month focuses on a specific attribute of Christ such as hope, faith, charity, long-suffering. Each month that will be the focus of the scripture study to find those attributes of Christ in the scripture or how to develop them. On the weeks where there's not enough scripture study to make it possible to have enough meat each day to study we'll be supplementing in conference talks that have to do with the Christ-like attribute of the month. I have selected three talks per attribute but sometimes there will be more than 3 talks per month. I've left those to your choosing. You can choose a talk based on the Christ-like attribute of that month or whatever you're feeling you would like to supplement. If you'd like a free digital of the reading schedule I'm using feel free to email me at rnkpaperco@gmail.com
    🎉 General Conference Goals 🎉
During General Conference I like to set goals for the next 6 months. In this October conference I heard the words "Seek Him" or a variation of it multiple times. So, I will be seeking Christ in my daily studies, picking a verse that speaks to me of who He is and what He is to me.

Good Monday morning! I also found praise in verse 22 and also 23. I praise my God that He speaks through His prophets to declare the coming of Christ. This truth gives me peace and spiritual strength when I need it.

God is the creator. We are just the instruments.

I liked verse 22 too! 22 For behold, God knowing all things, being from everlasting to everlasting, behold, he sent angels to minister unto the children of men, to make manifest concerning the coming of Christ; and in Christ there should come every good thing. In Christ comes every good thing could be a song. My comment goes with yesterday's message. I too am not a Hymns person. One way to still listen to spiritual music is contemporary LDS music. I loved EFY music when my kids went to those. Gentri is a nice group for Christmas and a different take on some of the Hymns. The other day I was actually listening to the Christmas concert from The Choir at Temple Square. KLove is a radio station that has many good groups on it! ❤😊❤

I chose verse 19. This verse tells me how to become a child of Christ: lay hold upon every good thing. Sounds simple, but we become so distracted all the time by things that are not good for us. It’s like if we want to be healthy we need to eat that which is good for us, but instead we find it easier to eat the bad stuff. I am going to try to add this to my daily prayer - to ask God to help me this day to lay hold on every good thing.
