Well done! I like that you showed the insides of the relay. When I opened up my relay, I saw the same broken ceramic(?) disc as you showed. I'm confident now the new relay I ordered will fix the problem.
Hi, I just purchased one of these from someone and it’s been plugged in for almost 7 hours and it’s not getting cold. I read to start it on the medium setting and work your way up. All it has done is click constantly. Not a super savy person when it comes to stuff like this, but is that what yours started to do?
Will the compressor still get hot if the relay is bad? Im currently trying to diagnose the fault

Ours is not cooling either but the compressor got hot do you think it is the starter relay as well for this fix?
Mine clicks on then clicks off a short time later. Motor is a little warm. Was that the same problem you were having ?
Yes that could be a symptom of this.
This is awesome! Thank you so much for your time. I pulled my relay switch out, and it doesn't look damaged inside like yours did. I will try replacing it though. The fridge isn't even three years old. I'd hate to buy a new one.

Hi, great video, thanks...unfortunately for me, I did what you said and the clicking every minute or so is still happening and the compressor is not kicking on. Does that mean my compressor faulty and is that replaceable or is it just better to get a new mini fridge?
It sounds to me that it is likely a compressor. On these small units it is best to just grab a new mini fridge I would say.
I did the same thing but the compressor want's to kicking and after 3 seconds cut off!! What can be the problem?

Our clip was basically just a C clip. So we worked the one side off and then brought it around the box. You can kind see use do this in 0:47 . Thanks for watching! Hope this helps!

I installed a new starter relay and no luck. Do you think it’s the overload?
Sounds like the compressor may be bad to me. I will say on these small units most parts aren't available and anything over this repair may not be worth it.
Do you know what causes the start relay to go out? We had a neighborhood wide power outage for 2 hours then when the power came back on I realized everything was not cooling as quickly as it was before. I had it plugged to a surge protector so.... just trying to prevent future issues, I love this lil guy
In our case I believe it was humidity and age, our old one had plenty of corrosion causing pits in the ceramic disk. Our unit also stays outside in the covered patio, probably not the best on it. Since changing this it has not had any issues at all.

Hey i have same fridge , but problem is its not cooling as cold goes to like 60 degrees at highest setting

Love the video!! I have This same fridge & the sound is too loud when it’s turned on. Is there a way where i can Turn the noise down? I got this fridge from my sister & she says it wasn’t that noisy at her house.
The one thing you can check is to make sure the catch tray is still in the rubber grommets and something didn't get knocked loose during the move. If you don't get it figure out we can pull ours out and get you some pictures of what I'm talking about.

If you look on the back it is the black tray held on by two rubber grommets above the compressor. If you can't find it send us your email so we can send you the photos of it.

i have a oster & the compressor goes on then a few seconds later it trips off it is identical to yours how do you order the piece is there a number a code ? & can you go to a shop that sells parts for fridges n stoves to purchase the piece ?
I use the exact model number of the appliance and search on the internet and you will find tons of places with parts diagrams that will help you find you part number then you can search with that number to find your part. We have used www.appliancepartspros.com/ a few times they always have good prices and the parts ship fast. We have also purchased a lot of appliance parts thru Amazon.
hey I replaced the relay on mine and now it won't power on what do I need to do now
Its hard to diagnose problems without being at the unit. The first thing you can do is to verify power with a volt meter at the compressor. This relay will not fix all problems if the compressor has failed they really are not worth fixing.

Hey, really appreciate your time and this video. My Hair fridge has pretty identical parts to yours but how do you initially remove the silver zipper bit? Should I use a flathead to pry it loose ...Also my light works, but no chilling/not running

Our clip came right off without any tools. You may need to pry it off with a screwdriver if it is that tight. Ours did the same thing it will power up but the compressor does not come on . Its a cheap easy thing to try.
