- Amy Grant couldn't be there in person when Vince Gill was celebrated during last Friday's (Sept. 16) CMT Giants: Vince Gill broadcast. She still delivered a moving one-minute-long speech that stirred emotions.

During the Sept. 12 taping, Gill let those in the audience know his wife was doing well after a bicycle accident that sent her to the hospital. Recovery from that accident meant canceling her planned fall tour.
"On the advice of my doctors and other friends who have been through similar experiences of recovery, I am choosing to give myself the gift of a very simple fall season," she told fans in an Instagram post on Aug. 27.

As an Oklahoma City native, Vince Gill has been a favorite long before he made it ‘big.’ He has never forgotten his roots, and has given generously to his hometown, and his high school friends say he’s never changed. I think he shows that by his life choices, the way he spends his time, and the music he creates. Oklahoma City is so proud of Vince Gill, and I hope his health and happiness continue for many decades! ♥️♥️

My late husband and I have loved Vince since we first heard him sing ,we have all his music . We played ' GO Rest HIGH On That Mountain ' at my husband's going home celebration. Vince's music has always touched my heart and brings tears to my eyes. I loved watching what I got to see of the people who gathered to pay tribute to Vince ., I wish I could see the whole thing, as I missed Ricky Skaggs another one of our favorites. Never heard Vince before but just heard him sing and playlive with the Eagles and what a treat, His voice is sweet and his guitar playing was on par with the band no question.

Love Vince Gill he is a legend like Elvis, Johnny Cash and Elton John to me. One clip on TH-cam that I think touched my heart is where he sang High on that mountain with Patti Loveless for tribute for the late George Jones. His heart you know was broken and his emotions really reached me heart and how he made the guitar sound like it was crying both still make me tear up. Also loved the song Peace on Earth with his daughter on his Christmas album I love. His voice has away talked to us when he sings

Amy and Vince are incomparable, we just attended their Christmas show a few nights ago and it was simply amazing. I've posted nearly 1 hour of the show if you'd like to enjoy and many of the songs they performed are the very best versions we've heard. Thank God he healed this angel from her terrible accident to allow her to bring so much joy to the masses, she is full of grace and love.

My 1st and only concert that ive ever been to was Amy's in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma back in either '81 or '82! Maybe it was in Norman Oklahoma at the Lloyd Noble arena at that time, with my highschool sweetheart, who I now realize looks a lot like Amy?!? Anyway it's hard for me to listen to Vince, Reba and or Amy because of my past loves lost! But i love all 3 of them and their songs! Thank you all !

I have been a fan since the late 80s,I think it’s disrespect to Amy sitting at a game with his x wife, you should go go to see your grandsons game but sitting with your X seems disrespectful, getting along is fine sitting together is not. After all she’s the one that flew the coup and we all know the reason which doesn’t matter she left.
