In this tutorial we create the multiplayer Battle Royale blue zone that shrinks in stages and pushes the players together. We take a look at the zone logic, the widget setups, and how the player handles the post process and taking the damage.
We take a look at:
- Making the Battle Royale Zone
- Replication
- Taking the damage
- Setting up the zone countdown widgets
- Setting up the Game State logic
- Zone shrinking logic in stages
✔️ What are we going to make in this series?:
In short it will be PUBG but with Bean characters.
We will have:
- A Battle royale Map
- Full Steam Session setup for connecting to games (Host, ServerBrowser, Join)
- Multiplayer characters
- Picking up Tools / Weapons
- Multiple weapons
- Lootcrates
- Flying out of an airplane
- All kinds of UI and HUD
- Match flow logic
And basically everything that a battle royale needs

Just to let you guys know what we are making in this course, we are making a full multiplayer battle royale game. I am uploading one video each day.
In short it will be PUBG but with Bean characters.
We will have:
- A Battle royale Map
- Full Steam Session setup for connecting to games (Host, ServerBrowser, Join)
- Multiplayer characters
- Picking up Tools / Weapons
- Multiple weapons
- Lootcrates
- Flying out of an airplane
- All kinds of UI and HUD
- Match flow logic
And basically everything that a battle royale needs
If you experiment performance issues when the zone is shrinking, you need to go to the collision tab of SM_Zone in the blueprint, and set "Ignore" for all except for the pawn, where you have to check "Overlap"
I really don't know why this performance issue occurs, but this solution works for me
You make such nice tutorials! Can you please make a tutorial on how to grab other players with either hand and move their character/actor around (ragdoll) like in party animals for example? Would love to see that!
Will you going to make team mode you know play in team and even possibly revive?

How would I go about having a longer time before the first zone shrinks then a shorter time for the next few zones?

Haven’t planned that at the moment. But I do have character customization planned and that should also give you some insight into setting up the save files for stats.
