Bill Rafferty & Ben Powers were very attractive, Robin Williams is dearly missed, and somebody should write a book about Waylan Flowers And Madame.
So Sinatra invented sliming before Nickelodeon?
Yep 👍🏻, which was _You Can't Do That on Television 📺_ that ran 🏃🏻on Nickelodeon from January 2, 1982-May 25, 1990, even though reruns continued ⏩ to air 💨 until the afternoon 🔅 of January 23, 1994, at 4 pm Eastern.
@jamesmcclelland1414 it was on the CTV network in Canada before Nickelodeon picked it up.
@@technomikelyons On the night 🌚 of January 2, 1982, at 6:30 🕡 pm Eastern, of course.
@@jamesmcclelland1414 night? We always got it Saturday mornings.
@@charlesallan-ks6gq Oh really? No 👎🏻 kidding.

Madame: R-A-Z-S-T-I-Forget it
Me: LMFAO
Wayland Flowers had a Black and White Puppet he could pull those off so Smooth I thought at 1st he was Black 💯😍
Had no idea Sergio Aragones did animations for this. It predates the work he did for TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes.
@@charlesallan-ks6gq 👍🏻
November 2, 1977, to be exact.
@@charlesallan-ks6gq Good 👍🏻 one ☝🏻.
Right. We've established that the audience is a drag and that some of the material is... reflective of earlier social norms, and it was embarrassing to see the cast come running down the aisle in matching clothes. Can you imagine SNL starting like that? "The Chairman" saved the show. His responses to what were clearly unscripted interactions with the cast were awesome.
The musical numbers were a bit embarrassing. Comedy loves songs, but songs are not necessarily comedic. The musical numbers in the original were an ironic spoof on the format of the variety show, culminating in the major number of the show, the introduction to the news segment. NEWS AS ENTERTAINMENT WAS THE POINT TO THE SEGMENT. This point was dissipated by the gratuitous ensemble numbers elsewhere.
Finally, the gay humor came to the fore. The "beefsteak" images of a bodybuilder, along with other gags, suggest that the producers were aware of seismic cultural shifts, but may have been limited by what the networks would allow on prime time.
Robin Williams' future was beyond bright. This reboot show should've had more time, too ...
I see the NBC censors was a lil loose in the 70's 😍 Cause The Late Great Frank Sinatra said ASS and still got passed
Back when "hell" and "damn" was allowed.
Special Guest Stars: Frank Sinatra, Cindy Williams, Rodney Allen Rippy, Flip Wilson, James Garner, Barry Goldwater, Ralph Nader
This is really very funny. It was the mid-to-late-'70s remake of the legendary Laugh-In, which was a tough act to follow, and the remake was badly received and didn't last long. But what talent it had, including some of Robin Williams' and Cindy Williams' (no relation) earliest appearances, and very funny moments from Frank Sinatra, Flip Wilson, Barry Goldwater and Ralph Nader. Sadly, most of them are no longer with us, and we don't get this kind of humor anymore. Thanks for bringing Laugh-In II back. Rest in peace, cast.
Thanks for watching!

11:09 that is a joke about the Oklahoma dust bowl migration to California
YESSSS EPISODE 3 LET'SSSSS GO !!!!!
25:52 Getting Slimed long before Nickelodeon!😅😅
if thats the case why didn't they sue Roger Price, the founding fathers of Nick and creator of YCDTOTV?
AND BY FRANCIS ALBERT SINATRA NO LESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So many gone.. aww Cindy 😢
Didn't the cast also do a 90-minute special that aired in SNL's timeslot? (It wasn't an episode of Laugh-In)... any chance that will air here? I haven't seen any of these since they originally aired.
What was it called?
@@clownjewels The Great American Laugh-Off (1977)
Oh, yes! We’ll take a look at that and see if we can do that next.
This is surprisingly good. Standouts are (other than Robin Williams, of course) Nancy Bleiweiss and June Gable.
Thanks for watching! We’re so glad you enjoyed it. It’s fun seeing Robin Williams early in his career.
It's so shockingly bad I can't stop watching.😂
Many people have different reasons for watching! 🤣
Yes more please!😊🎉😄
More on the way!

@@clownjewelshi guys waiting for episode 4

so Bill Rafferty was this before hosting Card Sharks?
You've got it, Marco.
The *only* good about this show is Cindy Williams, Robin Williams and the guy with the mustache....
These were really spread out from 1977-1978 and I don't think it was meant to last. This episode was broadcast Wednesday, November 2, 1977.
At 8 pm Eastern, of course, Danny.
Kim Braden played Picard's Nexus wife in the film Star Trek Generations
Yep 👍🏻, she sure 👍🏻 did--which opened 👐🏻 in theaters 🎭🎦 on November 18, 1994, of course.
This show wasn’t too bad, and it had some great talents. The thing that hurt this show is the same thing that hurts shows that are the “new” version of the original. People are often going to compare the “new” show with the “original” show, and they’re going to criticize the differences between the shows.
Excellent point! Many of the comments are that it doesn’t compare to the original. Thanks for watching!
The original version series was damn funny!!!!
😂😂😂 another fantastic episode 👍👍👍
Actually, the original one was better.
In other news...water is wet
During the oldies but goodies segment, they should have had the original cast appear. This just wasn't the same without Dan and DIck as the hosts. After all it used to be called Rowan and Martin's Laugh In, not just Laugh In
🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍🤩🤩I’ll be here!!! Can’t wait!!!🤞🏾😋✨💪🏾💪🏾

Laugh-In needs to come back in today’s format, just I wish they could use the resolution as they did then with those cameras! Nothing is more perfect than the way they recorded tv shows back then, today it’s too clean and sharp!
Uh, *no*
A very underrated show in its time, but still enjoyable. More please.
More on the way, July 14th!

3 more left. I can't for the finale as well as the episode with the 60 Minutes parody (the stopwatch exploded at the end).

How unfortunate. Should have let sleeping dogs lie.
25:54 if the joke wall what You Can't Do That On Television stole then so does this. but to me i think its not slime.
30:01 So all these shows were taped in June 1977.
What garbage. The original had style and class. This is just crap.
Do you guys have any episodes of “letters to laugh-in “ in the vault?
That's on my list of things to ask George Schlatter to release if I ever meet him. But the main one is still that one episode of Turn-On that managed to get aired before it was cancelled.
Asked about it and as of now, it can't be located.
😂
Never heard of this remake. One thing it had in common with the original: the hardest-working person was the one behind the laugh button. Yes, I'm aware a studio audience is seen, but what we are hearing, loud convulsive guffaws every 5 seconds, is as fake as 1967 Laugh-In, which I saw new.
Who is the actress at 9:49? 😂
Kim Braden.
Oh what did Frankie say at the end?? 😮😅😂
KEEP EM COMING!!! Can’t wait to see the next one on….???
