Ive always thought of the Basel Tattoo as like the World Cup for military bands, it is without a doubt a celebration of music and traditions, as well as getting to see some terrific musicianship coupled with military precision. What an honor it must be to receive an invitation to such a prestigious event.
Very pleased and surprised to see P&D senior drum major was Rab McCutcheon from The Scots Guards. He also appears in the same roll in The V I T in 2019.

IMO it would be better to ditch the pop music and keep tatoo's as military events. Ok, the pretty girls jumping around can stay but the electric stuff and the seals trained to play xylophone needs to go.

@@werekorden Ich finde er macht das gut, denn wenn er nicht Hintergrundinformationen bringen würde, dauerte es keine zehn Sekunden bis ein Bünzli kommt und sich fragt wozu wir die Bilag zahlen und dafür nicht mal eine anständige Moderation bekommen. Ein Moderator ist genau für die Struktur des Programmes wichtig und um die allfälligen off-times zu überbrücken, ganz zu schweigen einfach die Formationen vorzustellen, denn diese wollen auch ein bisschen näher dargestellt werden. smh
