the next time dont take one of the busiest roads that kills more folk every year - from inverness there is a cycle route all the way too Carlisle way safer

As someone who has been mentally rolling into Helmsdale from the southerly direction for a few years now, its a very motivating video.. i'm glad you left out the lunch stop, it would have made me an emotional wreck 😂

It was disappointing to have to stop early on into the ride of a lifetime but your personal safety is paramount. Better to stop, take stock then come back stronger at a later date. You'll always be welcome to ride with us anytime. Always look forward to seeing what else you have planned. 👍

@@englishcyclist Yes, only a little one, Lincolnshire coast to coast. Starting at the Humber bridge, were cycling down to the wash then into Boston and following the water railway back to Lincoln. should be a good laugh and not to many hills.
Nice ride down the coast, watch that busy SkegVegas to Boston main road if that's the route you are taking, fast rolling but everyone speeds! including those with insurance & MOT's :)

Thanks, from the doss house to the excellent value Loch Long Hotel at £45 for the night (never using Booking.com again and going direct from now on)

It’s disappointing but it could have been much worse. You will be armed with more knowledge next time, and hopefully better weather. It was probably that stunning scenery that did for you. Tourists are notorious for taking in the scenery instead of looking at the road. It sounds like they didn’t stop so probably didn’t even notice you. You’ll be back stronger next time ✊
