Raised one "Trash Panda" three years ago. This year found another abandoned baby girl and raising her. Follows me all over the farm and will soon head back into the wood. Such fun! Love your videos.
One of Skippy's babies has a light brown striped tail, and the other baby has a striped grayish tail. So cute! That's how I can tell the two babies, apart. : )
, look so forward to your videos of you taking care of these sweet little raccoons they are so precious and I know you look forward to them coming they are a lot of company to you what a wonderful person that you are and I can see the kindness and the love in your heart for these sweet little animals God bless you for what you do totally enjoy watching them please keep the videos coming and I will be watching
Good for you. I also feed a raccoon family next to my building, a momma and babies. Started feeding the mother since I saw her for the first time all skinny and tiny. This Summer she got her family.
I do not know where you're located but I have Faithfully followed your website... Love your perspective on creation and the critters that serve us thank you... Love the cat peeking out from the porch hahaha experience that myself with a 17 year old cat that brings everything in the house to share his food. . Your webs site makes my heart calm and happy and thank you for sharing... And how you film and share is good for me as I only have a smartphone and it is limited... Thanks again and send more as I can receive
I love your racoon videos, and I love how gently you speak to them. I feed feral cats, raccoons & the occasional possum. It's so wonderful when they trust you enough to not run away. Keep up the lovely, compassionate work! Well done!
You are so awesome! I wish I could feed one of them. As always, thank you for posting this! I have been feeling really sad lately, and this just made me feel good.
Dog food, cat food, or even bird seed (the good kind with nuts, dried fruit, and sunflower seeds -- that's what attracted my first bunch -- I spilled a big bag of bird seed and they showed up and cleaned it up over the course of a few nights. It was a mom and her two babies and I was in LOVE! Then I started watching these videos and getting tips and soaking in Jim's wonderfulness). I get anxiety and some sadness, too. I know what you mean when you say these help.
Skippy is so interesting. I think she might be the smartest raccoon you have had up there (besides Rascal, of course). There is something really special about Skippy, though, and it's very interesting to watch. Also, who was the fellow on the deck that she didn't want there? I wish the adults all had names. THANK YOU! This helps me so much -- you have no idea!!
I never did name the other raccoon but I should he has been around quite awhile and he broke into my house this evening tore a hole in the screen door and came right on in
@@JamesBlackwoodRaccoonWhisperer Lol! I loved this showed up in my feed! Please recycle more of the older videos! I bet Angie found this one and wanted it to be seen again!

If WE all just helped one another, in whatever small way, even. This world we live in, would indeed be a different one. GOD BLESS N A BLESSED DAY. JUST SAYING THO. IYS THE TRUTH. UNFORTUNATELY THATS NOT THE WAY THIS WORKS!! MAYBE ONE DAY. IT WOULS BE A CHANGE DOR THE GOOD LIKE U DON’T EVEN KNOW IT. OF COURSE THE GOVERNMENT N EVERYTHING n everyone who makes off us, never would want that day to come. PEACE OUT.
OMG I adore them, cutest animals ever! You are the best and the kindest, many thanks for what you do! Raccoons are the best therapy, watching them is such a joy, there are raccoon cafes where people come to play with them, they are used in special places like clinics, to cheer up depressed humans and animals. I know it works for me. :)
What a SMART mother to leave her babies with Y😇U!! My goodness, she knew EXACTLY what she did! She wanted a little break and who better than Y😇U to babysit for her 2 little ones? And Y😇U did it! ♥️🦝🦝♥️
I've only ever deliberately touched one, an unusually outgoing & laid-back cub, after months of getting to know him. Now that his gonads online, I'm completely hands off aside aside from a few tail tugs, because his big butt so irresistibly cute.
Please reply to me as I'm desperate for answers: For the past month I've been leaving food and water on my back porch for 2 nightly raccoon visitors. I sit about10 feet away & talk to them while they eat. My friends are telling me this is a huge risk & they'll attack for no reason. Do you think this is hogwash, or true? How long did you feed them before they took food from your hand? Have they ever acted aggressive towards you? Thank you so much for sharing your video!! I'm in love with my 2 little visitors & I'm hoping my friends are wrong. I'd So much love to hand feed them as you are doing. ~ thank you ~ ♥ from the woods of Tennessee
Hi Natalie, In the 20 years I have been doing this not once did a raccoon ever show aggression towards me. I have never been bitten or scratched and even allow tourists to visit with their kids and have full trust in the animals. Just throw the food closer and closer to each time and try not to make sudden movements once they feel your no longer a threat to them they will take it out of your hand. I had one Rascal a big female that came year after year for 13 1/2 years before she died of old age. Usually they only live 3 to 5 years in the wild because of predators, sickness, starvation or hit by cars.
James Blackwood - Raccoon Whisperer Wow, I'm so excited! My husband thinks I'm nutts, but the past few weeks have given me a new excitement through the day & by 7:30 / 8pm I'm constantly looking out to see if they are there. Thank you so, so-so much!! I'm hoping that one day Ms. Flossy & Fred ( my made up names for them, i have no clue if they are male or female) will eat out of my hand too. I'm beyond thrilled with your videos & your reply to me. thank you
I find the raccoons a very loving animal and my mothers trust me with their young and leave them with me while she takes a break for forages in the forest. I am lucky to have ten acres of woodland and kept all the trees on my property and have brook and a river running through the land I have been on TV a number of times doing interviews and get stopped quite often when I am shopping. I get a lot of visitors from the states and across Canada visiting here. I have a lady from Cyprus who is making her third trip here. She is staying for the whole summer this time and got to spend Christmas up to mid February here to experience snow for the first time.
Natalie K , I have also cared for raccoons for a number of years now , and I love them dearly . I have never been bitten or attacked . They are very loving and intelligent animals . Most of what is said about raccoons is totally wrong . Keep watching James , you will learn alot from him 🙂
It's heart warming to see how you treat and speak to these raccoons with so much love. I love them too, and you as well for what you do.

the raccoons are in hibernation right now
No wonder I dont see 'em in 2020 videos
Their lifespan 2-3 years only
Cat said what’s up with this
They would trust you in no time . Just they are a little bit concerned.
What would they do without you?
can i live with you grandfather, i want to see racoon everyday and play with them
Vienna sausages are good lol
Oh my God I sound exactly like bubbles from trailer park boys
They have a trail
