@@swizze9156 I've read through the rules, but haven't committed to getting it yet. Maybe after I review The Hunted (recording that tonight), i can ask GMT for that one.
@@OneStopCoopShop You don't mess around I see haha. I have Silent Victory myself from that series. I actually just finished a 10 patrol campaign last night with a Narwhal class. Amazingly I survived.
@@swizze9156 Oh man, I think if I ever survive 10 patrols in the Hunted I will be the greatest or luckiest U-boat commander ever! My best so far was 5 patrols. But hey, at least it'll be a faster video lol
Based on this, I am now thinking seriously about picking this one up. It's been on my radar for a couple of years but just looking at it seemed more complex than it really is. Excellent playthrough, no explaining rules exhaustively while you play and I like that a lot! Just let me watch the playthrough and I'll pick up on the rule details later, just need to see the flow and if it's for me or not. Your channel is my favorite at playthroughs, I can't trust anyone else now hahaha!
I saw this game a long time ago. Not sure where and was 50/50 as I wasn't too keen on possible repetitive of the game. Watching this though pushed me over as there is more to it than I thought. Thanks Craig
At 56:00, when you build on Tau Ceti, the cost should be b6 + 4 from the discovery tile, but it looks like you only paid 9 (5 from the card you're discarding and 4 from your infra). Am I missing something?
At 12:38, you drew a card from the era deck at the end of your turn, then you seemed to replenish the offers, and then you drew a card into your hand again?
Oh I've been thinking about getting this for a while, I will enjoy your playthrough! In the end I went for Liberty or Death: The American Insurrection on preorder, another GMT COIN game but slightly different from the others... if you've tried it I'd love to hear your opinion on it! :D
I just ordered Liberty or Death as well (P500) But also found a good deal on eBay, So I bought it. I’ll keep my p500, too. When it prints, I’ll give my eBay copy to a friend. It’s 2nd printing too, so it’s updated! Huzaah!!
I'm interested in Comancheria or Navajo wars. I want to buy one of them but not sure which one. Also thanks to your reviews I'm now hyped for Pavlov House, Dawn of the Zeds, and backed Final girl. I think I have to stop watching you videos
Not sure how you got that sense at all - it's quite clear that each stage is merely an extension of the earlier stage, with some additional restrictions and opportunities, but nothing that would indicate a whole new system.
I'm already encouraged two minutes in because dude didn't say something like, "I'm probably going to make some mistakes." If you're probably going to make some mistakes, maybe don't make a how-to-play video.
I realize this is an old one but I just got this game and this video was not helpful at all. Lots of mumbling, lots of quickly glossing over the actions and not explaining what or why things are happening - really disappointed in this video from an otherwise outstanding channel.
I can understand how not knowing the rules can make watching this play through kind of hectic. The turns in this game really do move pretty quick. That’s what makes it such a great solo game 🙂
1:17 = Set-Up
5:47 = Basics of Play
11:07 = Mariners Era
29:21 = Planeteers Era
45:44 = Starfarers Era
Easily one of my favourite channels for board games, especially as a solo gamer! Thanks for the videos. I just picked this up earlier in the week
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy it!
@@OneStopCoopShop Have you tried the solo mode for Space Empires 4X? That one is quite fun as well.

Great insight on how the game’s mechanics work. Thank you!
You’re welcome! Review coming tomorrow
This has really helped me learn how to play the game. I can tell I missed some rules in my first foray, but next time I'll be prepared. :)
Glad it was helpful!
My French edition of the game arrived this weekend. Brushing up the rules thanks to you Mike!
That's great! Have fun with it :)
That's the plan!

Yeah, it has some legs for sure. The upcoming expansion should improve that even more.

Hey, saw you posting a bunch of questions. I haven’t played the game in about 4 years, so I’m not able to answer them, sorry!

I do like COIN. I was also thinking about looking at the 2-player one, or the Gandhi one with the new AI
One Stop Co-op Shop I heard Gandhi was good!
Yeah another gmt game playthrough! Keep m coming!
@Ken Schuermans what else would you like to see covered from them? I didn’t know what to ask for next.

Hahaha, sorry to hit your wallet, Andres.
I have Comancheria, so will get to that sometime soon.
@@OneStopCoopShop gandhi? Peloponnesian war? Space empires 4x? Just for starters 😀
Thanks Ken!
Sounds like 3 mini-games in 1 game
That’s an interesting observation! It doesn’t feel that way in play, because they use the same basic mechanics, and one builds into the next.

I still made some mistakes in the video though 😅
