This is going to replace me, you, everyone. And when Boston dynamics and Tesla create a body for it actuate to the world we're all redundant. This is like 5 years away. The only solution is taxing companies that build with ai and using to pay for a universal basic income. This isn't like the smartphone, or the internet, it's like the steam engine. The problem with AI is that sooner or later a true AI (artificial lifeform)will arrive and the AI may at some point be the bad actor. That's what intellectuals are concerned about. Im a strong believer that the reason AI could ever turn on us will be due to our own action towards it due to our deep fear of accepting and understanding it.
      We humans have gotten so used to be The smartest thing. The number one etc.
      Suddenly we create something that has become our master.
      When you think of logical steps for a living form to evolve. AI and hybrid lifeform artificial lifeform are the next logical steps. The goal is knowledge and immortality. We humans have always been fighting death. We want to eliminate it.
      This whole issue is really fun to look at. Even Shakespeare wrote something about this. Where a smart lifeform reach the pinnacle of existence which is to cease to exist itself. I believe the 1954 film Forbidden Planet was made around that story.

    Same stupid arguments as for guns. The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Now this argument is even worse because here the problem is not who’s holding the gun, but the actual gun becoming conscious and surpassing our intelligence by exponential speed . A few weeks ago it turned out that ChatGPT had learned the Persian language, and nobody knows how it happened. Not Sam Altman, not the programmers nobody. This will be true for every area of human excellence and then we are obsolete. It will be like having a dictator that never dies and gives way for something better. This will come to pass no matter if it’s a good guy or bad guy if we don’t do something NOW rather than being seduced by how cool it is or how much money-making work it can do for you. Much like a bad habit, it’s chains will be too light to notice until they’re too heavy to get out from under.

    Government regulation of AI will be more or less like all other industries: the bureaucrats and politicians receive kickbacks from the industry for passing regulations and laws in its favor, then after their term is up they rotate into high paid executive positions in the industry. So instead of regulation, what happens is the law becomes a tool to weaken and restrict competition while the established companies rake in the money in a monopoly or oligopoly scenario.

    • @HardKore5250
      @HardKore5250 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The definition of "good" can vary depending on the context and individual perspectives. In general, "good" can be described as something that is morally right, beneficial, desirable, or satisfactory. It may refer to actions, behaviors, or outcomes that bring positive effects or contribute to the greater good of society. However, what is considered "good" can be subjective and influenced by cultural, religious, or personal beliefs.

He's on here talking about AI because he wants something from it for his own self interest, probably not something that is helpful for the rest of us. Putting things on pause, in order to assess the danger and mitigate it is the only responsible thing to do.
