Great video, thank you! If there is already a preservative included in the base, is there a need to add more preservative?
When I make a small batch for personal use I don't add more preservative. If I were to make it for sell I would definitely include an extra preservative
Great quick video! Can any butters be added to this recipe..shea or mango, and if used in the shower, will it be slippery in the tub. or would you recommend using an emulsifying wax with it to prevent that?
the foaming bath whip can handle up to 5% oils or butters without the f+product being slippery in the tub. You can totally use cocoa butter or shea butter or any butter that you like
Very informative video😊
I am glad you liked it!
Love this mixer.... what is the brand name
bosch mum 5
If i should add preservative what would be the measurement and type for this scrub?
depending on what kind of preservative you use
Liquid Germall Plus - 0.5%
Optiphen Plus - 1%
Euxyl PE-9010 - 1%
How long do you let it whip ? I’m worried about the mix deflating
If I make a small batch (500g) I whip it for a few minutes. It takes a little bit of practice to know when to stop whipping. I think it's better to under whip it rather than overwhip it. Also, if you substitute oil for cocoa butter you're going to have a more stable product.
Isn't fragrance oil too much
you can use less fragrance if you want. You can also take it out completely and use more carrier oil instead. It's a personal preference.
