I love the clear jar, it brought the beautiful colors out. Can't wait to try this, I can't find suppliers in Canada selling Polygel, what can I substitute with? Thank you
Seriously your are the king of DIY on youtube mam ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I salute you that you do not hide anything, you explain everything step by step and I like your explanation very much.
Happy Birthday Yaya and thanks for sharing this video....the colours of those sugar scrubs are absolutely beautiful, definitely giving iff birthday vibes. Much love to you from Canada.
Hi, just tuned into your Channel and I am loving it. I am a skincare enthusiast and I am interested in trying to recreate your foaming body scrub. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the Polygel emollient. Is there any alternative emollient that I can use?
Happy Birthday girl! Yaya, can you attempt a body oil soap. There’s a way to make an oil for the shower that also lathers. I forget the brand name that makes the product, but I’ve heard amazing things about it..coupled with my obsession with body oils..it’s a must! 😆
I did not take any courses. I am self taught. However, if you are referring to college. You may have to ask your advisors. I believe some combination of chemistry that will lead to a concentration in cosmetic chemistry. I hope this helps. 😊💜
Beautiful formula, i love how it makes my skin feel, but before i got the chance to pipe it in my container it hardened 😢. I wonder what could be the cause.
Hi! I know it's already late but I do want to try your recipe, however, I can't find PolyGel Emollient here in my country and can you suggest something else as a substitute to that? Thank you!😁
Yaya I'm having trouble with what speed settings do you whisk on? And what are the time increments? Mine doesn't get fluffy, it just lays flat 😄. I think I'm mixing it too high speed. I mix it on speed 4.
Thank you for sharing it looks fabulous! I'll give it a go but with oil instead of polygel as I can't get it. Just wondering, did you heat all 3 phases? p.s I think you missed adding sugar in the ingredients list in the info box. p.p.s I love it in the clear jar best. p.p.p.s Is the sugar 100g or 200g please? It says in info box the batch is 200g but on screen it says to add 200g sugar? p.p.p.p.s Your instagram link in the info box is missing the 'tions' at the end of it. Sorry for all the picky corrections 😉😍🙃🤗
Happy belated birthday! I think the whole point of using those nice neon colors is for that wow factor. So the clear jars are definitely the ones to use for things that have nice bright colors. The other one is best for white or cream colored cream; where the only wow factor would be the jar.
Absolutely! I actually recommend it. This form is the same as the powder. The manufacturer just choose not to ground it down. You can make it into a powder yourself as well with the right equipment and safety procedures. 😊💜
Hi Naomi! You can use glycerin or sorbitol for the humectant and some kind of light oil for the polygel. However, you may have to adjust the formula. Remember, too much oil can reduce your foaming properties. I hope this helps. 😊💜
Thank you! 😊💜 The preservatives I use varies depending on the formula. In most cases, I use a combination of preservatives that usually use Phenoxyethanol. I hope this helps.
@@YayaDIYCreations except their colorant guide even indicates it’s only approved for cp soap. Scrubs would fall under cosmetics even if the product is washed off though. Which sucks bc neons are so pretty.
@@pamphinney1459 Thanks for clarifying. I will review the restrictions on the website. Cold process soap means no additional heat. So, I am always sure to add the mica when the sugar scrub has cooled. I haven't had an issues/irritations and I have been using this brand for years in sugar scrubs. However, I would like everyone to be safe, so I will reach out to them for specifics. Thank you! 💜
@@YayaDIYCreations Cold process soap making and cold processed emulsions aren’t quite the same thing though… Cold process soap simply means a heat sourced isn’t used to generate the chemical reaction of saponification, but it does generate quite a lot of heat during its process. So most neons have polyester 3 in it which isn’t isn't approved as a color additive by the FDA, so that’s why it can’t be used in cosmetics. Soap doesn’t fall under cosmetics since it’s its own category.
@@pamphinney1459 Soap is 100% not my expertise. So, I do thank you for the information. I will look into it more to make sure everything is okay. I wonder what the difference is between it being safe for soap, but not safe for cosmetics. Or is it that it has not been approved yet, or needs more data. I wonder. I also wonder where whipped soap would fall on that spectrum.
Thank you!!! You can use any oil like grapeseed oil or fractionated coconut oil. Just remember, more oils will reduce the foaming properties of you sugar scrub. 💜💜
