Thanks Alex. The authorities are trying to eradicate a disease which is now endemic amongst wild birds - an impossible task unless you start killing wild birds too! Keeping livestock locked up is not a long term solution. There are only two real solutions - a vaccine, or natural immunity.
Fingers crossed that you make it through Flockdown unscathed. This spring was the nastiest bird flu season I've seen in the West, I'm hoping this isn't the same or similar strain.
I am with you on the culling. I think its the same idiotic logic that got us all into the covid mess. But how cute are those ducklings! (those are the ones I want for our project!)
