No hot towels, no hot water or anything, just the peppermint water and Gillette foam! My moustache was too hard for her to shave and she kept doing my throat/lower jaw area over and over and over and over and over again to get it somewhat smooth. All those British hair champions and that stuff - he'd give them a run for their money, I got free haircuts for 10 years +, he was old school, used only 3 scissors. metal combs and a mechanical clipper, which ripped the hairs from my neck, ouch. Would love to see you compare the differences between traditional western vs eastern shaves
This, and all other BB Shop shaving vids, is amazing. These men are professionals with their knives. And that no blood was drawn is a testament to my statement.
I love knives, but the ones that cut this fine are my favorite.
I love this. For a knife knerd, this is orgasmic.
Butchers and Barbers are Men of Steel.
My Grandad was a Hairdresser, Barber and College Lecturer, ran his own Ladies/Gents shop and could look at any hair design and just do it. All those British hair champions and that stuff - he'd give them a run for their money, I got free haircuts for 10 years +, he was old school, used only 3 scissors. metal combs and a mechanical clipper, which ripped the hairs from my neck, ouch. But he was a master shaver, he used a soap block, black strop, straight razor, hot water and it was sheer art to watch him.
There is 'a best way' to shave, I didn't realise there is so much to it, but it's true.
WOW! YOU LOOK GREAT! The barber did an awesome job.
I would pay ANYTHING for an experience like that!
I have always found getting haircuts by themselves to be relaxing and therapeutic but getting a traditional shave from a professional barber on top of that! I can only imagine.
BTW you are looking really sharp at the end their. :)
Am I the only one who was SHOCKED when they brought the Whiskey in a plastic cup?? So much style throughout the barber shop but no Whiskey glass? :D
I think a lot of places that serve beverages have resorted to plastic since the c*vid era, don’t want any clients or employees passing around sickness
Wholeheartedly agree.
So much effort for style but a plastic cup spoils it.
However, I can kinda understand since racking up a bunch of used glassware in a barber shop isn’t really feasible.
@demiGodHFL why did you censor covid?
@@demiGodHFLCovid
@@troymartin4260 what you watch and type in TH-cam search and in comments get thrown in your algorithm. I’d rather not see any of it on that topic
1:49 Now that's what I call full service! 😂😂
Please do more ASMR and beauty experiences. Super entertaining and relaxing
This man is an artist
These videos are SO SATISFYING.
My grandfather use to shave me like this it was the best shave I had ever I had no skin bump this was cool to see
Unibrow and nose hairs... Well done sir well done. If I lived near you I would stop in.
I LOVE this classic 1950's style stuff! Back when going to the barbers was a full experience! Men dressed in nice suits and had a touch of class and ladies went to salon and got all dolled up and wore nice dresses, just a touch of class about thay era, it had its fair share of problems but class and style wernt one of them!
Feels like a proper turkish barber, i love this.
USA used to do this in the past, they need to bring it back fully.
Yeah but nowadays it'll also cost so much it won't be in the price range for the average guy except for a special treat occasionally
@@krisfinley6706 yeah can't argue with that.
it definitely won't be as cheap as your regular barber.
We men can use this special treat as well sometimes haha
I wish I could experience this one time in my life. A true professional at work!
Looks really professional and you can see that he loves what he's doing 😊
12:18, remembering that feeling alone almost put my lights out. That warm towel on the face is just bliss.
That had to be at least 70 bucks. Even if it was more, I would still pay it. Can't wait to go back up to New York.
When I was around 13-15 years old I remember my barber after cutting my hair putting on that nice warm shaving cream out of an old school shaving cream dispenser that heats it up and lathering it on the back of my neck to get a nice shave and clean up the back…..talk about total relaxation.
I know exactly where it is & I've been there before a couple times. A very professional shop
Thank you 🙏
@@johnscala71 no thank you
Incredibly sharp and clean. You look like you could’ve been from the 40s/50s. Delightful!
You look fantastic. Nothing like a professional shave to really set a man right!
I've never had a shave like that probably never will as I sport a big Ole beard but I appreciate that this is still going on today it makes me think about how life was back in the Ole west
Please do more of these! This was Great!…Looking Sharp!…
I’m getting relaxed just watching this, there is a barber in my town that does things like this but not as much, clay mask, and it’s super relaxing.
Now I was to go get a shave !
I just love that sound of that razor going to work. Awesome sauce 🕺😎
this must feel so luxurious and relaxing, I'd love to have this done at least once in my life
A true master of his craft!!! Awesome...
Thank you
Currently in barber college trying to learn how to give proper old school shaves. I even went and bought a new straight razor and strop. Working in these type of barber shops or owning one is my dream type of shop, old-fashioned gentleman shops are rare now days where I come from.
This is like a great ASMR video!! So relaxing to watch!!
Absolutely quality, perfection, professionalism.
An exquisite experience from start to finish. I’m mad but not LOL I just watched the entire video 😂😂 captivated really 😂 also VERY pleased by how clean his hands and nails were 😅
IMO there are few things more soothing for my brain than a true artisan using a scary sharp blade to do the wok at hand...Loved this video!
I thought this was going to 100% be a fluff bs piece but man by the end Ari looks amazing.
Looks like an experience that every man should have atleast once.
There is something so relaxing about watching an old school shave, though it is no match for a shave with 5 blades for closeness
🙏
A real straight razor can. This is a shavette. Not as close.
Going back to the beginning of the video after seeing the final result is crazy. Definitely looks good on you.
This is that classic treatment 🔥
You look great! i love a classic cut and shave, especially in these older styled places. I had a double shot of jack while getting one in Berlin in 2019. As a man, its so worth the experience and so is doing it yourself with a safety razor or straight razor and brush. Thanks for posting.
I'd walk out of there feelin like a million bucks if I ever did that!
I know this was a while ago, but that was a quality shave! I would easily pay $40+ for that quality. I've had straight razor shaves before, but that was over the top! You look good!
