The RS6 Looks so aggressive.. Good Job Audi
Personally, I prefer the less-aggressive looks of the older German high-performance sedans/estates, but this one is definitely pleasing to the eye.
Half of that visual aggressivity is fake vents.
@@Mattoropael Then the RS4 should suit yoor tastes better, I think.
This car is just a piece of art. You can just stare at it and simply enjoy. Like an expensive watch - you look at a beautiful watch but you’re not interested in what time it is.
Hope to drive it one day.

Shocked to find out the dash screen squeaks tho😕
This is one of those cars for which even haters will have trouble pointing something bad out
The ugly plastic band instead of a rear diffuser ? The rev limiter making it sound asthmatic ? The squeaky dampers ? The fake active sound system even Audi is ashamed to confess they used it ? The ridiculous water and oil cooling systems taking you above 115°C just cruising in town ? Seriously the C8 is for people who don’t know anything about what makes a sports car desirable, they just want a €200k big ass iPad to set up the A/C.

The new RS6 has a rack fault they used an incompatible grease which can produces creaks in the axis when you are driving after about 1 hour . Audi brought an engineer from the factory from Germany to Monaco several customers had complained and found that this noise was due to the bad grease used at the factory

Do the newer models have any sort of downshift protection built in? I once had a little mishap with the shift paddles and i blew two valves on a 2.0 TFSI. Was distracted by the GF and i went one too many. I had to limp all the way to my destination onwards at half power. And i could really feel it.
I'm guessing valves cause i had it back like new by the second day. Luckily.

As much as I am a fan of the technology, I suspect that anyone who buys this car or any other high tech laced vehicle will come up against the end of life issues of the tech it's self! The mechanical aspects aside, it's the tech that will cost BIG bucks in the future when it expires and it will! No...I love this type of car for it's unusual design (wagon) and would keep it for the longterm. I suppose most won't and couldn't care less what others must pay after the fact. It's a double edged sword to be sure! Too bad the automakers cannot build a modern version of the classic sporty wagon without all the modern/future headaches! Still, the idea of a high performace avant/wagon is just too compelling to argue about! Make mine in dark green metallic with this lovely brown interior! I suspect I'd be very happy with the standard A-6 avant but with the 8 speed automatic instead of the 7 speed DC transmission. BTW..I too would rather own the fabulous diesels sold in the rest of the world instead of the petrol engine only for the states. This review is exactly why this car is a world class all weather driver!
Great review. I order mine just as you recommended. Air suspension, 21” wheels, and ceramic brakes for max comfort. (Ceramics are 75 pounds or 34 kilos) lighter for better suspension response.

Really nice car nice interior and exterior but the instrument panel is way too glossy for my taste I rather have knobs.
I'm not a fan of adjustable suspension, for me standard springs are for the win.

In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which exact body part you would be murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse?
The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination.
For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car.
In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And if you want the slick look or something to wipe clean easier, that is possible with animal free leatherette.
Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all it is just common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.

The rear is soooo bulky!! While some people may like it, I find it way too heavy. Not my thing. The interior on the other hand! Mama mia, I love it!

Thanks for another great review. It's really strange why automakers are still using animal leather. Every car I've owned with animal leather seats did not age well. Leather cracks and wears down even if you take care of it properly. And that's not to mention heating/cooling argument.
I bought A6-allroad here in North America and was very disappointed that Audi did not offer any other seating options. Hopefully that will change in the future....

What a fun and descreet wagon. I love it! Not that fond of the wheels to be honest. Too large! Not nearly enough tire in my estimation the 20 inch wheels would be perfect to me. The only issue I'd have with these types of "hot" V-8s is this "popping off" of the exaust when ya lift off the throttle? No...No Thank you. I don't need nor want the giggle factor that would, to be honest old in short order! However the rest of this car? Just lovely!
Imagine BMW with their current design team making a new M5 to compete with this. It's a good time to be Audi :D It looks quite amazing!
But they really needs to stop it with that tacky black shiny plastic on the inside.
Nice car. Shame we don't have it here in Korea, because avant models don't sell as well as Europe.
The rear end is a bit over done with that silver trim. Kinda looking like a Honda Civic Type R
Finally the RS6 on its home turf, one reason I always watch the reviews here. The autobahn segment is the bit that no other channel does as well. I still disagree with Thomas about leather, rexine is terrible for tropical weather, fabric might be a better option.

It is a wonderful machine without a doubt, but I think that of the 3 great German automakers, Audi is the one that least evolves in the design of the exterior lines of its cars. Mercedez and BMW are always innovating. Excellent review! Greetings from Brazil.

Does not matter, how much horses 605 was it? my RS6 eats it for breakfast lunch and dinner, I got 735 horses in my 2009, but im not done yet, this coming summer I will get mine to about 1200 horses and a new much more agressive look. And that will cost all in all the same as the new 2020 top model, that is slow, so slow....

Roughly 8 seconds 100-200kph. Not great, but the car is sooo heavy!
