Thanks! Wanted to let you know, our family gathered today at the farm as a result of your recipe for crunch wraps on the griddle. Great food great family time with our kids, God Bless you and Amy for making this possible.
I made them for the first time last night and they were amazing!! I made them with both the cheese sauce & shredded cheese plus I added diced white onion with the lettuce & tomato. I will definitely be making them again. Too easy for something so flavourful.
Glad you like them! I thought the same thing.....we just did another version with chili and that was exactly what I said...something so simple and flavorful. like a walking taco Crunchwrap
My husband and I always say the same thing. “Diet starts tomorrow” I am about to season my first Blackstone in about 5 minutes and my 11 year old son is soooo excited. Thanks for the great library of videos. I have spent the last few weeks watching your content. Thank you for the knowledge and thank you for your service. My dad was also in the Navy in the 80s. 🇺🇸
I guess I would have to finish all three to make a wise decison. It's the right thing to do. I do what you did on the second one, shredded cheese, small tortilla to close.
I’d definitely eat the double cheese one! Homemade though. Looks really delicious Neal! A tip of my hat in remembering all our service men and women this Memorial Day!
Thanks Nancy....I understand your time is important and try to do it...sometimes it takes longer because of the complexity of the dish, but when I can....
Never had a crunch wrap but will definitely try it. Homemade is always better because you know everything that you put in it. Not mystery meats for sure!!👍🏻
Smash burgers was the first thing I cooked on my Camp Chef grill. Huge hit. The second thing I cooked was my spin on the Taco Bell crunch wrap supreme. I used shredded cheese and tostitos cheese in the jar. 8in and 12 in good tortillas and I made them like your double cheese crunch wrap here. Man... what a hit at my house. Thanks for sharing, my family and friends request this all the time.
I don't know if you folks have Carniceria grocery stores in TN, but we have many in CA and AZ (probably NM, TX, etc.) and that's where you can get the really big burrito sized flour tortillas (14 inch or bigger) to make a proper sized crunchwrap! The one thing I've always wished a Taco Bell original had was some beans inside it, and come to think about it I never thought to ask if they could add it. But yes this recipe is on my todo list. Great vid! By the way that sauce your subscriber sent you is EPIC!
I just bought some of the 14" tortillas at Chef Store in Boise, Idaho (A restaurant supply store). I think they're nationwide, but they might not carry the large tortillas at all store. I can't wait to put together some Crunchwraps, using the large flour for the "Wrap", and the smaller crisp corn Tostada tortillas as the "Crunch." Yummy!
cooking at home with familia is the best. only thing I would change about this build is putting mixed cheese directly on the flat-top to seal the crunch-wrap. this is the move in my commercial kitchen always, burnt cheese is essential.
A new try for us, I know this sounds strange, but we are just getting our first stand-alone Taco Bell in town. Can't open because they cannot get the AC systems so we wait. Going to try this, of course. Preference I think is the shredded though.
Those are a "Yes!". But I heard that hot sauce comment. I love TB fire sauce, but it sure would've been fine to put some jalapenos or serranos or even some Poblanos in them. Dang, you made the folding look too easy on constructing them. I need to rev up my folding game
I got a BlackStone for Christmas. And just requested to join the Facebook group. Weather is getting close up here in NH so that I can finally start using it!!!
I rarely eat fast food, but when I do, it's the Crunchwrap Supreme. It's the perfect package! Your versions look great and not too difficult to make. I think I'm going to have to try this at home this weekend! Thanks for the video!
Great video, thanks for posting. Btw…Meat on a cold griddle? Didn’t you clean it prior? Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I aways heat on high, pour water on it and do a quick steam clean and scrap before cooking
Typically on griddle cooking with extreme rare things its more about averages..or low med high....when on a griddle the heat just keeps building and building...so even on low alot of times your actually cooking on a higher temp...I recommend using low and adjusting from there...
You know the Mexican guy that is in commercials and says "I don't often do " etc but when I do. Well it got me to thinking when your wife said we don't do Taco Bell often but when we do. "Then the camera goes to all three flat top grills full of Taco Bell copycats lol. Someone asking you why would you do Taco Bell copycats, well I would refer them to this video. All 3 of those looked awesome and after cutting them in half the visual effect made them look even better. I felt the same way about the cheese wondering if it over powered everything else. But I love so many cheeses and cannot think of anything I have ever had with cheese and said there was too much cheese. Just curious on these grease holes. I know on some of them the hole is bigger so with this one would it compromise the grease hole if you were to drill the hole bigger. Just wondering. Then I was thinking with football season here this grill stuff is just perfect for game days. What a great talking point and crowd pleasing belly filler. Awesome Video!
Thanks buddy...I personally haven't done it but I know people have...I have never felt like it needed it but I completely understand the concept..with the people who have commented they never communicated back to let me know how it went. I think mixing cheeses with multiple flavors would really set it over the top...good habanero cheddar etc...
You make everything look very easy sure looks delicious, thanks for sharing my friend! Valentina salsa is very flavorful and goes well with mostly everything.
What flavor was added at 9:11 by finger licking and nose wiping? Reminded me of South Park S19E4 "The Yelper Special" song....very entertaining! You may or may not know this but you don`t need oil when cooking the crunchwrap. A hot dry grill or skillet will seal it and make the tortilla semi-crunchy too.
Great Copycat cook, and wouldnt be proper if it didnt have the Mad Scientist Twist Brotha ✊🏼🧐!! The Crunch wrap is definitely 1 of my go-2’s. Awesome episode y’all, like Neal… id have to top it with “my hot sauce” for that added lil Mmmh 😉👌. Cheers guys 👊🏼😎🤙🏼

We did this a few weeks back. It’s really good with shredded pork butt Carnitas from the Instant Pot. Choi oi!
Heck yeah I bet it would have been good...
Nicely built crunch wraps. Keeping the folds intact seems like the trickiest part, and yours turned out great👍😊

I’ve got to stop watching these in the middle of the night. I literally just choked on my own saliva
I like to cook the seasoned meat, finely mince it in a food processor like TB does, and add taco sauce in place of 75% of the water.
thats a great tip...thanks

not sure the temp...i always cook on low....so around high 300 low 400
