I recently worked with a British nurse who also moved to Canada not long ago. She said it was a long process but ultimately worth it and she has no regrets.

hello 🥰 the way it works in Canada, is that each province has its own entry requirements. You will need to check with the province you are moving to. Some provinces require NCLEX, other require another type of exam. Either way you will be required to sit some form of nursing exam to be able to nurse there. This isn't just for nurses who are moving there, this is required for all nurses wanting to nurse in Canada or the US. It is what they have to do as standard once they complete their degree. Hope this helps 🥰

Well, I've taken the exams for the 6th time now and still didn't succeed, i wonder how those who succeeded did it. 😥💔

I'm so happy to see you explain and explore this avenue of your potential new life. You could follow and speak out to Kiara Madisen and madis nursing journey as these are nurses that have completed the NCLEX. Good luck and can't wait to see your journey grow

Hi faye! First of all im excited for you and your family ❤❤❤ , i really though that nurses take the nclex in the Uk. Anyways, im currently preparing for nclex' im using saunders book 8th edi. , you can do your research for Uworld or Archer for question banks; im using archer coz its more affordable. And i listen to mark k lectures, youtube with simple nursing , registered rn "nurse sara" and nursing crusade. There's so many platforms really that we can use.. i heard a lot of good stuff about kaplan too!
And yes once you passed the nclex and already a registered nurse, all you gotta do is renew your license.
But you need to check in Canada to make sure

Hi Faye 👋🏽, so last night I was looking for this kind of video. Luckily I came across your video 🎉🎉 new subscriber!!!
So in my case, just finished my 3 years nursing last September, will start working as a district nurse from next month. But, during my nursing journey, Canada came to recruit us at our university😅. They sent an email to my university and ask who wanted a career in Canada. Of course I said yes! (With everything that's happening in the UK, is just a shame that we aren't appreciate enough). I will be moving to British Colombia (BC) in the next few year or so, to be honest their processes are very easy. Like they have explained to me, I can get a work permit when all the applications is done and a provisional license on arriving there and I can work as a nurse, but without being registered, and after a year I can sit the NCLEX, which I find it very useful, because like you have explained those terms "CNA"... That we don't really know, will be very easy to us once we will be there.
For the process I think it depends on the province, so far they are saying BC, Alberta & Nova Scotia is the easiest route for UK, Australia, US and New Zealand Nurses.
I hope this information can be helpful to you. Been watching lots of American NCLEX video, a good one is also " beautiful nurse" on TH-cam, she has kind of similar story as yours. Also, nurse Belinda former UK nurse, she recently moved to the US and passed her NCLEX, but she doesn't have a video about it yet.
Wishing you all the best of luck finishing your nursing degree and all the best for Canada. Stay bless. Wendy

Hi Wendy ❤ this is the most HELPFUL comment ever! Literally helped me so much as I have NO idea of the processes! I was going to sit my NCLEX first, I didn't know we had to work a year first, so thank you for that info ❤ I wish they'd of come to my university!! 😭🤣❤ Alberta is where we are wanting to go to so I'm SO glad to know it's of the easier ones to get into! Thank you so much for this - keep me updated on your journey 🙏🏽❤
