I saw a example in a ielts’s book “Children need to learn to accept the consequences OF TO their action” Why do the after of the preposition is a preposition? What is it called in english? I want to learn more about ít but I haven’t a keyword for searching.
Hi sir, first thanks for giving us common uses of the preposition " at" , but I think there is no specific rule that restricts its usage. I often get confused what to use especially between " in" and " at" , though I know their general rules, and sometimes I don't know wether or not I should use a preposition, for example I watch t v using my eyes Or I watch t v by using my eyes. Another example I do it myself, with which I'm familiar. Or I do it by myself. Etc....... .
Dinner at 8 o clock I did not see my brother at Christmas Andrew is looked at my window. Place Seetha Raman at the bar group activity. Jane good at studying.
Hi Teacher, I hope you are well. I realised that this video was made one year ago but just a few hours I saw it. Here some sentences I prepared. Could you check if there are any mistake? I am living on Merlebone street. My girlfriend is at the dentist's. My Mum is at the hairdresser's. My kids are to the doctor's. My friend is at the conference. I am driving at 100 miles per hour. I am at the cinema. I am good at basketball. My brother is good at talking. I am good at writing. I am bad at singing. They are good at driving. The manager is always shouting at me. She is smiling at me. I saw my girlfriend and she waved at me. We are at the Airport. We will discuss our strategy at the weekend. I will go to at the party at the weekend. There are three people at reception. I was sitting at my desk when the telephone rang. I would like to work at school.

Hello Andrew and thank you for the lesson.
I am italian and I have two questions for you:
could I say "I want the work for Google"?
The last one, "the are two people at reception",I always add the article THE after at,am I wrong?
Say I want to work for google
Means I work for them I want to apply for a job
Can we use at with other verbs ex- fluent at english
I think the correct answer is fluent in English .
@@pacificoceania5828 thanks but I was wondering if we could use at with verbs like brilliant, pathetic, skilled, at something
@@mohitrawat1858 sorry but the words brilliant, pathetic are not verbs . Can you make a sentence using at with those words you were mentioning ?
@@pacificoceania5828 yes ofcourse Mike is brilliant at gymnastics.
I am skilled at making shoes.
@@mohitrawat1858 ok I get your point now . Mike is brilliant at gymnastic . In this case brilliant and gymnastic are not verbs .
Would you please tell why do we say go home and go to school?
Thanks
