The unsung hero in this song is the bass section, it not only drives the song but that middle 8 bass line is so good, creates a menacing air to the song.

I mean they kill it on old school punk type vibes and the lead singer is punk 💯 but he has a sick flow and they have a alternative Muse vibe meets Rage against the machine "especially on Car Crash". I absolutely love this song. Not only does hit incredibly hard, that small part at 2:34 is just so perfect. The instruments give me a sort of Tool vibe, or something of that air, but mixed with their style; Joe's vocals in this section perfectly match the vibe, like I can't think of anyway it could be done better.
My love for this band grew progressively since their debut album and seeing how big they became makes me so happy. Great fucking band.

This is so rare to hear and see a drummer who is 100% dedicated to the dynamics of the songs, and so simply inspired. Lots of people name Radiohead’s and Sonic Youth’s drummers for their efficiency. Thing is that they’re both fckin robots, anyone else would play the same or even better.

I don’t get Idles. They’re tame, but all the ex-Indie kids are like “this hits harder than a junkie looking to score his next hit”. I think yous’d just like metal. Listen to metal.
I do listen to metal. been listening to metal for 25 years. I love Idles.
For me metal gets a little too riff heavy and at times masturbatory. I massively respect it but just don't dig it in the same way. Idles is just straight up brutal in the musical arrangements, it's less complex but more to the point.
This next level shit, this band keeps evolving.
