The unsung hero in this song is the bass section, it not only drives the song but that middle 8 bass line is so good, creates a menacing air to the song.
I absolutely love this song. Not only does hit incredibly hard, that small part at 2:34 is just so perfect. The instruments give me a sort of Tool vibe, or something of that air, but mixed with their style; Joe's vocals in this section perfectly match the vibe, like I can't think of anyway it could be done better.
@@dictater2 I have been officially fucked in the crawl hole my brotha!😂🤣 ah damn I shouldn't laugh at my own dumb shit but that got me. Yeah man I am hooked. This dude has so much passion "enough for my crawl hole" and rage, the band all together are the tits! Its impossible to limit them to a damn genre but I would say alt punk?? I mean they kill it on old school punk type vibes and the lead singer is punk 💯 but he has a sick flow and they have a alternative Muse vibe meets Rage against the machine "especially on Car Crash". I am hooked brother. Have a good one my friend and protect ya crawl hole at all times my dude 😂🫡

Wow. I listen when I need to let out some frustration. It helps when I jump up and down also.. But the song is smooth as JD Vance's charm in public. What a car crash..
Found this band a few days ago... Listen to all their music already and I love it!! Question,. Where did they get that nice rug??? And what size is it? Lol
This is so rare to hear and see a drummer who is 100% dedicated to the dynamics of the songs, and so simply inspired. Lots of people name Radiohead’s and Sonic Youth’s drummers for their efficiency. Thing is that they’re both fckin robots, anyone else would play the same or even better. Thx god Idles arrived.
damn, this is better than the album version..
This kicks so hard!!! Love this band!!!
truuu
Love the sax addition. So dope!
agreed
100%

Yup
It’s with lots of their songs. Check The Wheel or Danny Nedelko.
Big Daddy guitar laying down the law 🙌🙏💯
real
Hits *SO* hard!
Getting some solid "British Death Grips" vibes and I absolutely love it
Wow! I like this version even more than on the album!
The Idles way

My love for this band grew progressively since their debut album and seeing how big they became makes me so happy. Great fucking band.
Incredible sound, and Joe delivers his best version of the Car Crash lyrics yet. ❤️ IDLES
Agreed! This is my favorite performance thus far!
Them lyrics are genius
IDLES and From The Basement, what a combination!!!
Only so many bands can leave you without a breath to take in. And these guys are one of those…
2:20 is raw and honest power from the singer.
When he screams "aaaaashhh"..that was chino moreno levels of inhuman high pitched noise . Joe is iconic.
Seen them last nite and you are soo right, even today I'm still in awe
Holy shit what did i stumble upon!! Never heard of these guys but this is one of the best live performances i have heard in years
Get ready to crawl into a hole of music that is going to fuck you up!

Like finding gold
@@shotty5873 you've got to see them live!
I hear ya. I stumbled on their Tiny Desk performance and it changed my life
I've got myself together
I've got myself in check
I made myself a member
Got myself out the red
I upgraded my upgrade
Give us our daily bread
I got paid on payday
Now I dress well-fed
I clearly won the friendly
Left my opponent dead
I got the keys to the Lambo
I took a walk instead
I am the prophecy
I did not come from nothing
And nothing came from me
I took your name in vain
I burnt your effigy
I chewed up your story
Some tush between my teeth
The fear's gargantuan
Don't like what I can see
Racist prick on the right side
No one to trust on the left
So I put my foot on overdrive
Close my eyes and press
Definitely I'll have a dab man
You know I am a dab hand
Super strength superman
I'll have a stab and can-can
Don't forget I'm a champ man
Pound for pound gram for gram
I'll smash that double-barrel Mitsubishi
Back to Amsterdam
Crash bang wallop on the afghan
Then I rise like a phoenix from the dashcam
Smash
I'm a car crash
I got myself together
I got myself in check
You caught me on my knees
Knees are raw red
You caught me on all fours
Smooching the floor
No metaphor
My thoughts are piss poor
My glass-jaw held open the door
Chin to tarmac
I'm serious Jack
As a heart attack
No life, no help, nobody
Was where I'm at
Smash, swing, glisten
As everything turns black
My feet leave the ground
As my wings start to flap
Cold goes to warm
As my top gets blood damp
My, oh my, I can feel the raw
Flesh on the bottom of the footwell floor
Flash, flash
Everything is turning to black ash
Smash
I'm a car crash
I can feel my eyes vibrate
I can feel my eyes vibrate
I can feel my eyes vibrate
I can feel my eyes vibrate
This tune resonates so much, exactly what I'm feeling right now.
Hearing this live is simply an out of this world experience. In any of it's forms, they never cease to amaze me. What a fucking great song!!!!!
Beavis' tight drumming is insane
Absolutely seminal brilliance, the energy, targeted aggression and passion, words dont do this justice
I keep coming back to this one over the album version, this live version has something special, love it!
Literally found these guys this morning, fucking brilliant.
If you get a chance to see them live do it, you won't be disappointed
Welcome
They get musically more and more interesting! I like it a lot! Thanks, folks!
Ok. Now I want some Trent Reznor SET!
Seriously, NIN from the Basement is NECESSARY
yesssssssssss please 🥺
They’ll have to change the name for From the Trentment.
@@reaffrests3617*From The Basetrent
You tried though. Just not as clever.
The tonal shift at 2:37 🤌🏽
This song makes me feel alive and I'm already alive. Huge pop!
Love the screeching gerbil sounds at the end!
Yeep what a way to sax
What an impeccable way to make a disaster
Ugh... that intro is filthy. Love it 🙌🙏💯❤️
Well that set me up for the day

That was emotional
Can’t stop watching this video again and again!

Jeez. I've been sleeping on IDLES - just fucking found them! SO GOOD!
Brilliant
This is actually better than the album version

Fucking superb.
This track sounds like Slaves. Especially the drumming and singing.
Fucking badass!

A very ZU ending
Guillotine's (by Death Grips) sister. Similar raw power & beauty.
It sounds familiar with death grips music, good af tho
