    David, Two things: I’d like to see somebody putting in the plastic sheets which you spoke of and where to get them. You talked about hopquickly have a nice bamboo fence. If this bamboo is planted in the spring by the end of summer will it have achieved its full height? Also: what would happen if this bamboo were planted in a large container?

    I had some in my yard but in my experience it will grow absolutely everywhere you don't completely prevent it. If there is any light at all coming in under the deck, it will grow. I would put in the plastic blocker or you could put black plastic covering the ground under the deck. That should prevent it from growing too and you don't have to dig.

    A co-worker of mine had "contained bamboo" which managed to escape. The result was catastrophic to his backyard. It took him years and many man-hours to eradicate it afterwards. Proceed with caution.

      i'm guessing it is possible to take samples of clumping bamboo and make a new instance of clumping bamboo? i mean like not to damage the roots much, i know damaging the roots can be very bad for bamboo. We have a fence-line at least 90ft and our neighbors have a pool that they use and we want privacy from that, so i want it along 90ft or so down the fence-line, would running bamboo be a better choice then? we don't want it to get out of control and into the neighbors yard (even if they are crappy people/neighbors), if we do anything about it we will do it next year

  • @MeesterVegas
    @MeesterVegas 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    My question is: What is the best way to insert a long line of 2 to 3 foot plastic in the ground? I know the obvious answer is to dig a 2 to 3 foot trench, I'm just wondering about the best way to do that.
