But when the clones finally have them cornered with only one chance of escape, Tapal finally calls him by his real name 'Cal' and breaks the formal naming. It just shows how desperate the situation had become, both Jedi were facing death by their own troopers and it even started to affect the typical calm behaviour Tapal always held to his character. Some for the best.... *a lot for the worst.*
I heard we're getting a bad batch TV show and it's been rumored to be set after order 66 I'm going to be honest I do not want a bad batch show I want a show set in the perspective of a Jedi surviving order 66, the show can start with a calm setting as the main character is casually talking with their captain/commander then a few minutes into the episode order 66 is ordered and the episode ends with a a bunch of dead clones on the ground being showed.

You legitimately feel backstabbed by the clones here. Phenomenal storytelling from the developers, here... I legitimately felt chills when the music from EP III started playing.
The fact that Tapal in that moment only cared about Cal's safety, being ready and willing to die so that his Padawan may live really just goes to show how noble Tapal and many Jedi like him are...
In Batman: The Animated Series, The Joker was played by the man who played the Jedi Luke Skywalker. In Jedi: Fallen Order, the Jedi Cal Kestis is played by a man who played The Joker(s) in Gotham.
Stefan Dakovski Yeah, but they didn’t expect the Clones to turn on them. So fighting a whole army would be impossible for one Jedi to escape. The Clones were so close to the Jedi that the chips in them made them turn, not even the Jedi could predict this.
DelTorro I know but I would’ve liked to see Darth Vader (before his duel with obi wan on mustafar) try to kill you and your master with you barley escaping. Seeing this scene with Darth Vader at the end would’ve brought that around full circle. This was an amazing game though!

@@jlord9638 , That was such a friggen cop-out to try and soften the blow. Prior to the animated clone wars series, the Clones were just following a contingency order that was drilled into them. It was darker and more pure to the narrative for them to just be cold blooded killers who took orders and could choose whether or not they wanted to comply with that order rather than have a "flesh microchip" planted in their brains to force compliance. It was also cleaner to the narrative back when Jango Fett was officially recognized as a Mandalorian (In the EU, he killed at least a dozen Jedi with just his bare hands and feet on Galidraan) which prompted Tyrannus to invite him to the hunt for Kamari Vosa, which on the success of that hunt, prompted him to extend the offer to make Jango the Clone Template, because biologically he was the most efficient Jedi killer. Kind of like an anti-jedi weapon.
Dalton agreed. Shows that during this time, plo koon, aayla secura, and hundreds of other Jedi were being slaughtered. It’s so tragic and heartbreaking
7:14 I love that bit. Even though he's outnumbered you can see the sheer strength the jedi have when given a fair fight. The force with which those clones were slammed against the ceiling was way more power than when vader did it to that rebel soldier at the end of rouge one
It's made by Respawn not EA. If EA made this the game will be filled with microtransactions, casinos, and other gambling mini games and you also can't finish the game unless you buy powerful lightsaber with real money and they lock the difficulty to Jedi Grand Master only. Also you gotta pay for this specific mission because of how awesome and tragic this mission is. This mission alone will cost $10-$15 dlc probably.
I actually really like how Cal's master senses, through the force, that the Commander is about to betray him Just like how most Jedi should've been able to do...
Fraseanchico Cal's master could feel many other Jedi dying through the force, which gave him time to react to the situation and figure out what was going on
Honestly im not sure that's what he senses. I think what he is sensing is a shift in the force as the Jedi are dying, not the clones imminent betrayal. He, like yoda, put 2 and 2 together and realised the only possible reason for this was that the clones had turned on them. They had a split second to react and save themselves, which they both did. Jedi can sense emotion and disturbances in the force, but the clones aren't emotional about this, they are soldiers doing what they were told, there is no malice or hatred in what they are doing, they are simply doing their job and their duty after being informed that the Jedi have betrayed the republic. As such the Jedi simply can't see it coming untill it's too late. Just my opinion anyhow.
This is why they added the chip to canon. Before clone wars added the chip, the clones betrayed out of loyalty to the republic. But now after the clone wars show and video games like this, it seemed so unrealistic that the clones would kill the jedi. So they added the biochip
This game turned out to be way deeper than I expected. Actually one of my favorite Star Wars arcs in recent times. It's so crushing to think that while this is happening Anakin is storming the temple. Great to see this from another perspective/angle. Can't wait for the sequel... hoping it will be even bigger in scope.

I got done playing this part not too long ago and I won't lie, this part hurt. Cal's bond with the clones and his master, the betrayal of the clones combined with the song "Anakin's Betrayal", then his master's death. I didn't cry, but it was powerful and it hurt.
By now, it would be practically illegal to get anyone else to do it. I also like the nod to the Clone Wars in how the master was wearing an armored tunic.
The slow fade into Anakin’s betrayal as we see his relationship with clones and the hints with how order 66 is about to happen. It goes from slightly happy with a sense of bad energy with the relationships being shown and then it’s fade into the song always kills me.
@CrimsonNerd They got killed when they least expected it during some battles or in situations outside of their control, unfortunately. I imagine some of the Jedi had their clones turn on them a bit later than the others did, so some like Jaro Tapal were able to react to it quickly enough to defend themselves properly (even if Jaro died, he lasted a lot longer than most did).
CrimsonNerd You know I am quite shocked how as to how Jedi Masters -Aayla Secura , Ki-Adi, Mundi weren’t immediately alerted to this in an instant like Taro Jarpul was in this entire scene. The moment Order 66 was given on that Clone trooper , the force immediately gave him the signal that their being betrayed.
The Jedi in Episode 3 were literally ambushed and backstabbed when they least expected it. They didn't have the time to react to it. The only reason Tapel survived that long is because by the force he sensed the deaths of the Jedi same as Yoda did. So saying they died like "punks" is false.

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
Nire respawn made it
That’s because they only published it. EA didn’t do shit in making it
It's made by Respawn not EA.
EA just published it, Respawn made all the work
I actually really like how Cal's master senses, through the force, that the Commander is about to betray him
Just like how most Jedi should've been able to do...
Fraseanchico Cal's master could feel many other Jedi dying through the force, which gave him time to react to the situation and figure out what was going on
@@thecavcave3020 Mace Windu probably felt like a giant black hole that got taken away.
same thing happened with Yoda
Yoda sensed order 66
Aw. The clones are so adorable... that is before they tried to kill him.
They have control chips in their heads to force them to obey orders :( they had no choice
Lt. Hobo duh
The clones didn’t want to kill the Jedi they were forced to with chips
In legends they just had the order, so they were willing to kill the jedis .
In canon they had the chips , so they were forced to do follow the order
It was that dam Chip! If only they had listened to Fives! watch Star Wars the Clone Wars to know what i'm talking about.
It's terrifying how fast clone troopers go from kind soldiers who are people too, to "Good soldiers follow orders" it gives me chills every time.
That dammed chip I felt so bad killing them
This is why they added the chip to canon. Before clone wars added the chip, the clones betrayed out of loyalty to the republic. But now after the clone wars show and video games like this, it seemed so unrealistic that the clones would kill the jedi. So they added the biochip

At least this Jedi doesn't comically die like a punk like the ones in Revenge of the Sith. That's what makes this one of the best scenes in the game.
@CrimsonNerd because at that point, those characters didnt matter. But they decided to expand upon them with Clone Wars
Jaro Tapal is my new fave Jedi. They should make a comic series of him and Cal's heroics during the war
