Bit of a weird game of a kid getting electrocuted and surviving it and turning into a reptile. The game areas remind me a bit of the Tak 2/3 games, but they are slightly less linear. The areas aren't really open-world but they do have different pathways, all of which must be explored to collect the eggs, which are the main objective of the game. Each level also has 10 orbs hidden, which unlock concept art. Normally I wouldn't bother collecting these but you unlock the alternate ending by collecting all hundred of them, so I did. Every third level is a boss I find the game a lot more fun to look at than to play, as the very little health in this game causes many deaths and I noticed that the recorded run, aside from the practiced run, went a lot more fluently with less deaths and ofcourse less searching around. Controls just fine. Really the only downside is the little health and a radar showing all the orb locations would've been nice too, because they become pretty damn difficult to find later on.
Except they still do that. ARMS, Mario Odyssey, BOTW, Splatoon, Captain Toad, Nintendo LABO, Ring Fit Adventure, basically every Paper Mario game, LittleBigPlanet, OverCooked, Beat Saber, No Straight Roads... Need I continue?
If you notice half of those games are by Nintendo and sure some are big franchises but still Nintendo tends to be the one to stretch out and try ideas and that’s probably why a lot of people love Nintendo and theirs brands.
OH MY GOODNESS... This Game is the best but kind of underrated. I remember the intro and playing the crap out of the first level but never beating it :).
این بازی عالی بود ،یادش بخیر ،بیش از 10بار این بازی رو تموم کردم هیچ کدوم از بازی های نسل جدید بجز اخرین بازمانده ما این حس خوب را به ادم منتقل نمی کرد
Some features on the HUD (like numbers), and the camera perspective. Remind me much of Ratchet and Clank. I never played this game, but seeing alot of games like this being remade. I'd love to see this one remade as well, it looks amazing.
Wow I remember being visually impressed with the game at the time of the ps2 but it's gameplay could never land like other titles like ratchet and Clank or Spyro. And something about seeing so many particle effects and hearing nonstop noise and clutter just becomes a sore. As for story or charaters nothing just resonated with me not just as a kid but much older.
Eh, I appreciate the game for being its own thing rather than just emulating Crash and Spyro, feels like it's own thing. Think I'd play this before any Crash game besides Warped.
I seriously want a PS5 Remaster for this game! If they can get the scales on Spyro that good I would really want to see what it would look like for this game . I think the next generation should have a chance to play this one too.
If only they remastered this game ive only played it once an when i beated the game i was so satisfied wuth this games story and the graphics i sure hope they bring this one back
Man I Missed this Game I Didn't Understand English So I Didn't know exactly What's Going In this game and the game Didn't have Translation to my language (Polish) Thank you so much ^^
That rock at 2:27:40 has a hidden green pod thing in it! :] I discovered it when my screen slipped through last time I played (on ps4) idk if the xbox would have it haha
This game was so dope, literally one of those games that I could say I was the only one in my family that had. I remember playing this and when my uncle/brother (he was technically my uncle but only 3 years older than me) and my bros would play this game we would pretend each evolution that your turned into of was a level of super Saiyan, the imagination of a kid is so dope😭
As a kid I thought this was Spyro, now as a teenager i feel like it's a rip-off of Spyro even though it probably ain't, but still good nostalgic game though!
I played this as a kid and still do now although when I do a marathon I alway’s get stuck at on rattlecrab and the turret section. To me the aim sensitivity is too slow but other than that good job at seeking this game out (you die a lot less than me) I guess I played to much crash bandicoot and Spyro in that era even know the ps2 Spyro games sucked
I vaguely remember a blue dragon/amphibian/reptile platformer character on the gamecube. But I only played it for couple hours tops, and i dont recognize this gameplay at all. I remember a lot of rail grinding in the game I played. Does anyone have any idea what game I might be remembering?
Aw crap Im seeing the grinding at the start of the video now (I was skipping around before) I really hope this isnt the game because I remember finding it kinda fun but this game looks less interesting than I remember.
I've come back to my comment to say, I am now more interested in this than I was. I think what was cool about the game as a kid was the nice quality animation and running around smashing eggs and things. Then when I trried to remember it I mustve imagined it was some great game. But in reality it's just a simple game that looks nice. Kinda what I feel like playing at the moment.
I’m watching a long play because I know I only am not playing because I got stuck full stop. ^^’ and I know I’ve beat it before so 🤷🏼♀️ guess my reaction times aren’t as good now lol
I really wish they would've toned down the "hip, witty" dialogue of the characters. The environments are so beautiful and creative, and I think the atmosphere they create is this game's strongest point. But hearing "You picked the wrong lizard to mess with!" after killing an enemy just destroys that atmosphere. And the cutscenes are especially cringeworthy in my opinion. I feel like the tone of the characters and the tone of the game world clash horribly, and I wish they would have just focused on giving us a beautiful foreign world to be immersed in, rather than try to seem "cool" by spouting out one-liners every few seconds.
Well I'm sorry for my English so bad but I think that if you are going to do a longplay of a videogame you should prepare to play well and not die too much I'm not saying you're a bad player but you need to prepare your gameplays more bro. please improve your way of playing more
I didn’t die at all did I? I practiced the entire game before recording it 🤷🏻♂️ It’s literally the fastest longplay on the internet (5h vs 6, 7 and 9 hours). You’re just one of many people who like to trashtalk for no good reason.. ahh
@@longplayarchive You died many times lol. The amount of times in the second level you forgot you could use your bombs to set off the bomb plants, and use your claws against the tiny enemies was astounding.

... I found it, after years... the childhood game I played literally once. The opening has been burned into my mind
Same bro I only played the first section once and it’s just stuck with me ever since
I am in the same boat brother
You too huh
OMG SAME! It's been driving me crazy for YEARS
I miss those days where videogames were colorful and weren't afraid to take wacky risks with their concepts.
Except they still do that. ARMS, Mario Odyssey, BOTW, Splatoon, Captain Toad, Nintendo LABO, Ring Fit Adventure, basically every Paper Mario game, LittleBigPlanet, OverCooked, Beat Saber, No Straight Roads... Need I continue?

This and Tak & the Power of Juju were the platformers I loved that no one heard about.

My and my friend tried time and time again and never got passed it.
Id do anything to go back and play this game again
ayo thanks, just got massive nostalgia from a game i didn't know the name of til just now, played it on the ps2 a damn good while back

It's like a Daxter/Spyro hybrid in a Crash Bandicoot Universe.
With map animation that reminds me of Rayman.
